It looks like 2 spots left and 4 teams vying for those 2 spots. Though Dayton could be a bid stealer with win over VCU who is in no matter what they do today imo. You have Arizona State, Mississippi State, Clemson and Vanderbilt looking to grab those two open spots. All 4 lost there last game by about 20 so not good look for committee. If I was ranking them I would go Arizona State, Clemson, Vanderbilt, and Mississippi State. I have a hard time putting in any team with losing record in their conference into the tournament.
I know Arkansas is going to get in with losing conference record but they were missing Nick Smith a good portion. I do think they are getting over seeded some still on their talent compared to results. They should be in the last 4 byes imo.

Wonder if the skull dragging Kansas took in their championship game would drop them out of the overall 1 seed, if we do work and show aTm who is boss today.

I really don’t see a scenario where Vanderbilt gets in. Lots of losses. Horrible net rating. It’s hard to lose to Grambling regardless of if you beat Kentucky or not. I just don’t think their numbers will let them get in. I do think that state is safe, however.
So with the Kansas loss to Texas and Bama thumping TAMU in the SEC tournament championship, are we the #1 overall?

If you get stomped by the same team to twice in the week leading up to Selection Sunday, I don't see how you can have a claim at #1 overall
That’s true but my counter point would be they lost to Texas TWICE in the last 2 weeks by 16 and 20 points.
We finished better.
We got railroaded by the refs vs A&M both games and only lost by 6 on the road and then Destroyed them by 19 on a neutral court.
We are better than Kansas.

Kenpom, etc pretty much have UH and Bama 1 and 2. You could argue that UH's second best win was a loss to us. Hopefully Memphis can beat them today.

Memphis is going to be a tough out for anyone that has to play them. Good team and well coached.

Number 1 overall seed and we get the number 5 seed in our bracket. That sure doesn’t seem fair.
It’s not. I have a feeling we will end up with the toughest bracket in reality, even if it’s not the toughest “rated” by the committee.
