Well, if the transfers are a common problem among the other SEC teams and are not an advantage/disadvantage to any one team, that brings us right back to the crux of the matter........These other teams are managing to cobble together teams that are beating Gottfried on a regular basis. In other words, he's being outcoached.
Couldn't we get more bang for the buck elsewhere? I read somewhere that the guy at Western Kentucky only made something like 150 grand last year, yet they made the tourney and didn't get embarrassed. I know we're not gonna get a big name coach due to the financial ramifications of MG's buyout, but dadgummit, we can defintely do better, a lot better. Does anyone outside MG's family and possibly his innermost circle of friends honestly believe that BAMA BB has a future under him? I sure don't.
