That line will change....much as I would love for Bama to pound the crap out of those cheaters, no way I'm giving 3 points to unbeaten #2 vs twice-beaten #11.
Maybe they know something I don't, but I still think it will come down.

If sCam plays in the IB..No way that line stays like that..I know we have home field advantage..I just don't see how The Barn is not favored..
They won't be getting much Bama money with that line, unless it's from someone who knows fig won't play.

What would the books do if AU got nailed and had to sit Cam? Do the orginal bets still hold because if I were a better and that happened I'd be ticked? Just curious or is that why they call it a "gambling"?:)
Yep, that's "gambling." The bookies will move heaven and earth to get knowledge about injuries, or, in this case, hold-outs...

To me, two things account for this:

1)home field advantage(which oddly enough has not been one for us in this series)

2)A majority of the betting money is flowing to the Alabama side

This is dangerous. Chizik will be playing the disrespect card in the locker room.
If they need motivation to win Friday, then they have serious problems.

Plus, I seem to remember a couple years back in Atlanta when we were the #1 team in the country and we were an even greater underdog--and bettors would have been wise to take the favorites.

I'm stunned that Bama is the favorite.

I'm even more stunned that folks are putting money down on Bama with that line.

I'm pleased I won't have money on the line either way.

Chizik can play whatever card he wants, if AU wins, it won't be because of emotion; it will be because Cam and Malzahn have an excellent game. I have never seen a coach as bad as Chiz get so lucky with 1 (paid) player and a solid OC. The guy is supposedly a defensive guru, yet their defense has consistently been near the bottom of the SEC since his arrival.

Why are y'all acting surprised that Bama is the favorite in this game??

1.Vegas odd makers are aware that is a HUGE game

2. Auburn has been mediocre on the road

3. Bama has not loss a game in BDS since 2007

4. Bama's DEFENSE allows 6.5 points a game at BDS

5.this will be the largest crowd auburn has face this season

6. Bama will not be over looking them like year when Bama was getting ready to avenge the 2008 SECCG loss to the Gators. This is THE GAME!!

7. Bama has more time this year to prepared for auburn, our 1st string team was well rested by the 2nd quarter of the Georgia State game

Oh, just one more thing Vegas Sports Club thinks that BAMA is the superior team and they could have put the opening line at -7 or -7.5!!

what does that tell you what the odd makers think about this game...

Guys, several of you have pointed out reasons that the odds makers think we will win this game. Try to understand, they are NOT saying they think we will win this game by 3 pts; it has nothing to do with that. They are only putting the line at 3 to try and get even money on both sides. They are only saying that think about 50% of bettors think we will win by 3 pts.
