Post count indicates how often one has added to the board, but you are correct if you are suggesting that not all contributions are positive or equal. Still, knowing how much one has contributed is one aspect of judging that person's board credibility...I can't begin to describe how much I disagree with the post count being visible at all. To me, it leads to nothing but ways to discriminate and hate others for their lack of posts, or their abundance of posts.
The word Moderator under a person's name is important, but how many posts they have should not be. People are getting banned left and right for saying they want MM fired, but people who get visibly (by their words) angry at people who make a mistake because they have under 100 posts, are just being over looked.
Fire the post counter lol!
Be sure to keep everyone informed on your progress.what is the criteria on what "team" we are on? is it number of posts? if so, what is the breakdown?

It's kind of a "warning signal" - if you will. Kind of like wearing a nice suit to an interview. I like the post counts for that very reason. Not that it is fool proof, but it does eliminate A LOT of fools.Post count indicates how often one has added to the board, but you are correct if you are suggesting that not all contributions are positive or equal.
