This season has been full of ups and downs. I'm hoping that we leave everything on the field Saturday night. If we win, I want it to be because we wanted it and we executed.

As for the playcalling. If there is something big in the Jimmy John's as a QB package, this weekend is the weekend to run it. Forget about saving anything for a bowl game, put it all out on the line this weekend. Beating Auburn is important to the program, the team, the university and the fans.

I believe the team can do this...and if the stadium isn't loud on Saturday I'm going to cry lol

Agreed. I've been the most critical person of coach shula here lately. Even going too far in my opinion. He is a good guy overall, and a win Saturday can help the non-believers believe in the future.

If there are some of you who haven't cheered loud this year, thanks for saving it up for this game lol, lets give em hell

As happy as I would be if we beat Auburn (and conversely, as sad as I would be if we lost), it's hard to get past the "damned-if-we-do-damned-if-we-don't" repercussions of this game.

If we DO beat Auburn, we get to tell Tubby to go thumb himself, and he may get the ax because of the Trustees' unhappiness with him (one in particular). However, it may also cause the AD to advise Witt to keep Shula for another year without advising (demanding) any AC changes. Right now, this is not necessarily the case. Losing to LSU really put another nail in the Shula coffin.

If we DON'T beat Auburn, Ears gets to hitchhike until next year. His job will be safe, but Shula's job may not be (if he refuses to change some ACs). I think most of us realize that getting rid of Shula (or some assistant coaches) ASAP, especially with what we went through by keeping DuBose for another year, will be best for the program.

Regardless, I could NEVER pull "against" the Tide, even if it meant Shula changing or getting canned early afterwards and us getting a great coach with loyalties to his program--and not individual people--alone.

Dear Coach Shula:

If you are reading this, blow the dust off of the last few pages of your play book and try something different, like running and throwing around the end, a toss sweep here and there, an option play on short yardage plays, etc.
If you've been saving something for the end well, this is the end, Coach.

Good luck and RTR !

Signed,

A loyal Bama fan.

Nothing would be funnier than to see wingnut stammering to Tracy Wolfson just before the half... :D
Just as long as he's still stammering AFTER the game; you know, no more second half let downs.

I was impressed with the more aggressive play-calling against LSU. I expect to see that same attitude and hopefully more against AU.
