Germie Bernard is now in the portal. WR out of Washington and a guy I highlighted before as a guy that can come in and replace Bond. That would be a huge imo. Parker Brailsford is freshman who started at Center for Washington as well and another guy I had circled.

Would love to bring him in. He's big for a WR and love the yards/catch.

247 is showing Niblack in the portal as of yesterday, but On3 still doesn't have him listed. They are both typically pretty accurate. Hopefully he talked to CKD and changed his mind. Most believe he will be a beast if used correctly. We saw flashes this season when he got the ball.

Niblack would do well to do some film study as to how DeBoer has used H backs in the past. Niblack could have a huge year at Bama.

NIL deals cannot require school attendance or team play. There cannot be a requirement of any kind that the player stay or play. At least, that is what the NCAA has published. We have no idea how the actual agreements read.

so say the NCAA rules, right. I'm talking about the nitty gritty of how NIL works in actuality and for NIL contributors. No way I'm giving money to an NIL collective if those guys can just take the money and go elsewhere tomorrow for a better deal. Anybody doing this has more money than sense, IMHO.

There should be a 30 day pause on the portal for teams with coaching changes. Let these guys have some time to think things over then open the portal for 7 days. It would help a lot with all the tampering from other schools and let the new coaching staff sell their program.

One thing many of the Chicken littles need to realize is that a pit of hell (aka 30 day transfer portal) opened up for us when Saban retired. CKD is getting punched but isn’t allowed to punch back yet. While trying to recruit hs talent and build a staff he has to convince guys to stay. It is something everyone other than currently Washington and Arizona aren’t experiencing. CKD isn’t allowed to recruit people on other teams with the exception of those with portals opened.

Point is…. Be patient and just hope the bleeding slows down. It could always be way worse, look at Oklahoma 2 years ago.

The good thing is it appears CKD is starting to get the programs legs back from the "standing 8 count" we got from the initial fallout of Sabans retiring. Now we're building and putting some very good pieces in place to begin CKD's tenure.

Oklahoma literally had their whole starting roster transfer out when Riley left them high and dry. We really aren’t that unique in this situation of dealing with a mass exodus and poaching. I think considering everything we have done better than what most would have thought. Heck who knows this may be a way to trim the fat and find out who really wants to win and be at Bama.

The players right now have to make a pretty fast decision because the start of the college semesters. They have to get unenrolled at their current university and then enrolled in their new one buy the end of drop add day at each university. You can’t be enrolled or even were enrolled at that date at one of the schools for spring semester and participate in spring activities at another. So after Thursday none of the Alabama guys could transfer to another school and start practicing with that team til after the Spring semester is over and the start of summer/fall starts. That would make it very difficult on player as they would be way behind everyone else. A lot of times high school kids try to enroll by spring semester for this exact reason to learn the system and get started in spring and nit wait til summer.

That is correct, my daughter attends a D-1 school and her spring semester starts Thursday.
