I get that. My question was more about the rules of the portal. Do they get the 30 day window even though the only thing that changed was the head coach.

I’m pretty sure they do because it was a head coaching change but I would have to look up the new rules to confirm it.

If you check my profile you will see that I'm one of the oldest members here but have very few post. I stay pretty busy on my quest to clean up the Internet.🤣 BTW doesn't time served deserve more than just Bamanation citizen?

Yeah, and granted my "tea leaves" are pretty Crimson Red, but now that it seems we've gained our balance back from getting hammered by the TP, we may end up upgrading at positions that otherwise we wouldn't.

And before some miserable soul (as he sits in his sackcloth and ash) says "You can't replace Downs", I'm meaning in areas that materially impacted games last season and we all know those areas.

I'm impressed with the positive attitudes of our guys. I'm seeing leadership in several. Especially true freshman Jalen Mbakwe. He's one of a handful leading the charge.

If that's him (and I think it is) there is nothing "light" about him. What we had heard was 6' 6" and 236 lbs.

He makes Simpson look like a little boy standing next to a full grown man!

Yea I think so. Mack looks like he could probably eat Ryan Williams who I think is the guy to the right of Milroe

Offensively, with the new system and the improved coaches, I expect us to be better at every position, except kicker.

Defensively, I'm not as optimistic. But I think we'll still have a solid D.

These will be some of my favorite Alabama captains and players of all time. The way they have stepped up when so many have stepped out will be forever engrained into Alabama lore. We have some true leaders for this next year.
