Transfer Portal 2023-2024...

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Where ever there's BBQ, Bourbon & Football
Hopefully it pays off. Heck we may end up improved after all of this.
Yeah, and granted my "tea leaves" are pretty Crimson Red, but now that it seems we've gained our balance back from getting hammered by the TP, we may end up upgrading at positions that otherwise we wouldn't.

And before some miserable soul (as he sits in his sackcloth and ash) says "You can't replace Downs", I'm meaning in areas that materially impacted games last season and we all know those areas.

Mack is a freaking giant if he is really the guy second from the end on the right. My goodness.
Yeah, I posted that to the thread discussing him.

If that's him (and I think it is) there is nothing "light" about him. What we had heard was 6' 6" and 236 lbs.

He makes Simpson look like a little boy standing next to a full grown man!

Ok, so the coaches/adm are hands off the nil deals...and the nil's are handled by collectives and are not "offers" to get players to said school...but yet players "commit" and "sign scholarships" with schools to play a sport. But its in between (or all around) the 2 official signing periods...and the coach knows (i'm guessing thru esp) exactly how he's gonna handle his scholarship numbers before anyone hasn't been contacted about a signing bonus not on an official signing day. Got it.
What a mess, no wonder coach Saban retired

Exactly, who thought it would be a good idea not to have schools involved to make sure things are on the true up and up 🙄. If you had it run through the compliance office it would not be perfect but would be a lot better than the Wild West we have now. The (collectives) don’t want that because they want a lot of shady area to work in. My worry is does Vegas, Mafia, etc get involved and guarantee some of these kids with NIL deals to be on their beckoning call when they need some points shaved, or flat out need games thrown. It doesn’t take the star player to throw a few passes away, let a team score a TD in garbage time, or to be out of position for a back door cut, etc.
