Not sure he is looking for promises to start. Just a chance to start which is a tall ask in Tuscaloosa these days given Milroe's progress and Sayin coming in. Then there is the Lonergan question. Good problems to have at the Capstone but not if you are a QB looking for playing time.

Years ago when Southern Miss had good teams they would have very good guys as juniors and seniors and I wondered why they had not gone to an SEC school. When I checked their backgrounds they were not highly recruited. The coaches had a gift for spotting players that had potential but needed to add weight, strength, etc. but with time would be very good.
