Maybe not, after Nussmeier’s showing against Wisky.Yes, we do. But Day would not promise the starting job to him. Kelly might.
He was a 3* out if high school, and hasn't played any on the college level yet. He does have size.
He only has three OL in the ‘24 class, I think. One of them should be all world, from what I’m hearing. The need for bodies at that position is high. But regarding Bertrand, this is kind of a head scratcher to me because normally Saban doesn't bring in a transfer unless he's a proven commodity that can play immediately. Sure hope he pans out or at least adds quality depth. Maybe they want him at DT.
Lance Heard - 6-6 340# - 5* LSU OL entered today. Does Bama consider him?
Undoubtedly not!Can we teach him to snap the ball????
So who do we expect in the portal from Bama? I would imagine some won’t announce until deadline.
I believe the deadline has been extended by a few days for Alabama. And presumably Tejas...Today is the deadline to enter the portal until after Spring practice. I figured we'd already have some names there, but the day isn't over. Let's hope there isn't much attrition today, and they at least battle it out through Spring ball.

Rutgers?saw a post from Niblack. Had the peace sign and the comment was "New Jersey OTW" so kinda sounds like he's on the way out.
It’s sick that they already have contact with these schools BEFORE playing in a playoff game…seriously, can we get some damn rules!!!!Rutgers?
To quote the play Hamilton, "everything's legal in New Jersey."It’s sick that they already have contact with these schools BEFORE playing in a playoff game…seriously, can we get some damn rules!!!!
LOL - well maybe, but I read it as he'll be wearing a new jersey instead of heading to new jersey.Rutgers?
I agree with you…I’m just sooo frustrated that’s he’s making commitment plans elsewhere when he should be concentrating on winning a championship.LOL - well maybe, but I read it as he'll be wearing a new jersey instead of heading to new jersey.
And I agree with Skinny - if it's true I can't blame him. Next year is his money year and unless there is a QB change or JM makes an unprecedented degree of improvement then Niblack isn't likely to get enough targets to create the kind of value he'd like. If he's going, I just hope he has that EXACT conversation with the coaches.
Same old story for our TEs. I always hear "this is the year we are gonna start utilizing our TEs more", and we do for a little bit, but it's never consistent. That's all we heard during the OJ Howard era, and I heard it again this year. It's a shame, because when we do utilize them, it's a nightmare for the defense, especially when you have a physical freak like Howard and Niblack.Niblack had a total of two receptions in the last two games. Who could blame him for leaving?
