Well
Malachi Nelson going to Boise State. That is very strange decision imo, almost as much as McCord going to Syracuse
Well, he will definitely have a chance to play there. I usually don’t try and judge them too much. They are just trying to do what they think is best. The ones I really feel for are the ones that have outsiders dragging them down and imposing their decisions on the athletes. I wish there was a better system to help guide these young athletes.

I would think whoever is 4th on the depth list at Quarterback after spring leaves and transfers out. I think it will be open competition in spring but then you have to start narrowing it down to get the snaps for the guy/guys you think will actually get snaps during the season.
I would say the lowest on the depth chart among the three (Milroe, Simpson, and Lonergan) will transfer. Sayin will stick around regardless. He’s just getting his feet wet.

What we really don’t know is where each of those three above are mindset wise. Indications are that Ty is ready to move on if he doesn’t win the starting job. Most of us expected him in the portal already. Yet he is still here at least through the spring. So if Ty is #2 after the spring, does he transfer? If so, assuming Lonergan is #3, that probably affects his decision to stay.

So what if Milroe is #2 in the pecking order after being the starter in 13 of 14 games in 2023? Is he willing to wait to see what “shakes out” in fall camp and into the 2024 season? My sense is “no”. If he is told after spring that he’s down the depth chart, he’s looking for other opportunities.

Then another scenario: what if CNS decides there was “no clear #1” after the spring and he’ll continue the competition into the fall like last year? How does that affect the decisions of all three?

Based on Saban's history, expect your last scenario to play out and Milroe to be the starter. What the backups decide to do after that is anybody's guess.

The GOAT knows best, but if this scenario pops up again, I dont feel too good about it..............will this be another "the team chose the QB" situation that was aluded to?
