I really don't care to be honest. The guy is good but there are dozens of very talented wr's that under the right coach and in the right system could make him an after thought.
I have been thinking this same thing since he entered the portal. If the players who stick around buy into Deboer’s offense we should have guys emerge and look like world beaters.

Yeah it’s not like he is Amari Cooper or Waddle or Ridley or Jeudy or something. It’s more the principle of, you are one of the starting WRs on the team but you can’t even be bothered to play for a new head coach, for which you would also start and probably have a lot more touches. Tells me you aren’t much of a team player.

Like I think someone said… Bond was less of an Alabama guy and more of a Saban guy. But really he is banking on Ewers and Sark bringing him to stardom and championships over the uncertainty of what we have at quarterback. I personally think it’s a rash decision considering Texas is about to move up in competition and have to face big teams for the first time.

We are going to get some players at positions we need from the portal also. This past year Washington's offense was fun to watch. We have a proven winner in DeBoer and an excellent OC in Grubb. Just get a top notch Def. coordinator, mix in Bama's great resources, and it is safe to say that there will be some very good players at other schools who will love to be a part of Bama's future.

I see Shawn Murphy in portal now. 19 now. Ouch. 23% of team
With the incoming class, does anyone know where that puts us, regarding open spots? Am I to read this as, we have 19 spots to immediately fill to be at the max allowance. Including or excluding the current class? Thanks in advance for further explanation.👍:giggle:

I hope Bond stays cause he turned into a guy who basically caught everything that hit his hands and many others that didn't. He's certainly going to have a better QB at Bama, but if he goes we shouldn't lose sleep over it, at this point.

CKD's system is going to attract crazy WR talent. The proof is already there with what he did at Udub.

I'm honestly more interested in him turning Ryan Williams back to the program and honestly it's more keeping him from AU because as others have said, we'll get ours one way or another.

Well we picked up 3 in portal. Some going pro. And 26 recruits. Plus seniors. So, TBH i have no idea. Lol.

Someone posted earlier that if a RB, WR, or TE transfers, it`s for the benjamins. As a follow up, I`d also submit that they must not have bothered to spend 30 seconds studying CKD`s history and offense at UW. Nor, I bet, would they have requested to meet with Coach Saban for his counsel in this matter. Yes, it speaks volumes about them as people, at least at this stage of their lives.

I seriously doubt Ryan is really considering Auburn. I would be more certain that he recommits here or winds up in the state of Texas. I would lean slightly to the former more than the latter but it’s 17-18 year old kids so who the hell knows for certain.
