Well maybe with Downs it is more of the T-Rob relationship as opposed to Bond and chasing the NIL money. Either way, we need players that are committed to Alabama first, coach, scheme, etc. second...Maybe he will reconsider if he gives those relationships a chance to be developed with the new staff. RTR!

The ones laughing now will be going through the exact same thing when their coach retires or leaves for the NFL. Michigan will most likely deal with this in the coming weeks unless they hire from within.

I had already prepared myself mentally for Downs' departure, so him staying would have been a very pleasant surprise. I won't try to rationalize the whole thing away because this really does hurt us on defense, but at the same time, we were winning championships before him and we will be winning them long after he's gone.

I was thinking about Michigan getting hit like this earlier today.

I don't think it's any coincidence that most of these transfers are DBs. They came to play for Nick Saban and his pedigree with defensive backs. Kirby is probably the next closest thing. It sucks and I'm not happy about it, but it is what it is. You can't get another Downs, but it's time to hit up the portal and find someone that wants to be here and play in this defense and can at least help fill the gaps.

Aight just to prepare you guys. Proctor has been heavily implied by several to potentially being on the move . Saban had to talk him back in even before the Rose Bowl. If he leaves then the likely destination is Iowa or ISU.
I’m wondering if some of these linemen are just to dang big for the new scheme? I could be wrong but we sure did struggle in pass pro.

Well apparently there are two HUGE NILdeals waiting for him at either tOSU or UGA. Whatever! I’m done worry about him. It is what it is.

The UGA game next season is going to be filled with angst between the teams and lord knows the fans at BDS are going to go nuts
Right now, we barely have enough players in the secondary to have 5 DBs on the field at the same time. I don't think it matters how nuts the fans get. Our team is getting decimated.
