Guys our line out weighed every NFL line this year. How did that work out for us? Our new linemen will in most cases get better nutrition at Alabama and will definitely receive better coaching from the line coach.
Me personally, I would prefer a strong, athletic line over a simply big line. Just look at Pro lines. Basically none of those guys are fat, like you see in college. They are just big, lean, quick, and strong.

I just don't think that was happening here. Iowa would have zero inclination that they could pull him away from Alabama. I mean, this is a school that knows what they are and what they are not. The favorite player on this year's team was their punter for a reason.
Unless they had a reason to think they could.

"Hey dad, im really not feeling this heat and humidity down here and they eat this thing called grits and drink "sweet tea". Could you kind of ask "mr. McMoney man" if he could inquire if maybe, i could like come back home?"

DAD: "Sure thing son."

TWO WEEKS LATER. "Hey Kaden. How are you doing today? I "bumped into your dad yesterday and he told me you were a little "homesick" Whats up bigguy?"

"Yes sir Mr. "Bag" i sure am. This past weekend we played a team called USF. I never even heard of em. Anyways we were playing in there stadium and they lined a 250 lb outside linebacker up on me. Boy, i tell you, i have never seen that before. This guy ran right by me. I couldn't believe it. I mean they actually expect me to pass block these guys like that. I mean i have never seen guys this fast. Btw, im thinking of transferring back home. That Coach Saban is kind of mean when i give up 3 sacks. Is that NIL offer still good?"

This guy is the #1 ranked IOL in the portal. He's spent a year in this offense with the HC, OC, and OL coach. He knows how to call the assignments for the OL. This is a great pickup.

He will probably bulk up some, but the rest of the OL may very well lose some weight to make them quicker and more agile. And there's no doubt their technique will improve. The OL coach is regarded as one of the best in the nation.

Can’t underestimate the importance of a center that knows the assignments and has the ability to call checks/audibles. Especially if that is an area Milroe struggles with.

I still remember when, Keith Jackson, back in the day, was introducing our O-Line. I can't remember who it was, but I remember he weighed 230 pounds, and Keith Jackson was calling him the "bell cow of our offensive line". I believe that was in the 70's.
I remember the 1992 Tennessee game. One of their OL was 305 or close to it, and Jackson said “there’s another one of those 300 pounders you’re seeing more and more these days.”

It's time to call in the BRINKS TRUCK and get someone who can Center the ball.
IMO: If we had a CENTER Jim Harbaugh would not have that smug look on his cheating face.
We were unlucky against Michigan. If the ball was Rolled to our QB less, or Centered over the QBs head less or even Centered in the general direction of our QB, we would have had several additional scores and the outcome of the game would have favored Alabama.
Or we could have just stopped them on 4th and 2.
