And as you can tell, Stoutland is a well respected at his trade. He was originally hired away from us by Chip Kelly when he was head coach with the Eagles, then retained by Doug Pederson when he replaced Kelly, then retained a second time when Nick Sirianni took over. The guy can flat out coach.last decent line coach was Stoutland
Me personally, I would prefer a strong, athletic line over a simply big line. Just look at Pro lines. Basically none of those guys are fat, like you see in college. They are just big, lean, quick, and strong.Guys our line out weighed every NFL line this year. How did that work out for us? Our new linemen will in most cases get better nutrition at Alabama and will definitely receive better coaching from the line coach.
i know they hand out exemptions like Willy Wonka does candy but if the transfer rules hold up Sayin couldn’t transfer again until he is a graduate. In today's world it is not a risk for the players. The loser can just transfer out.
I don't think that this transfer counts because Saban left.i know they hand out exemptions like Willy Wonka does candy but if the transfer rules hold up Sayin couldn’t transfer again until he is a graduate.
Sure looks like he's headed there.Day does not want to run off Air Noland, so he told him that he was considering offering Sayin. Apparently Noland was fine with it - welcomed the competition. So I think that he will get an offer. But he will not be guaranteed the job.
I don't see anythingSure looks like he's headed there.
Not a done deal but strongly suggested.I don't see anything
Unless they had a reason to think they could.I just don't think that was happening here. Iowa would have zero inclination that they could pull him away from Alabama. I mean, this is a school that knows what they are and what they are not. The favorite player on this year's team was their punter for a reason.
Ok, one season vs 1 game. Our oline gave more in one game than he did all season???Is that surprising? One dude v 5-7…
This guy is the #1 ranked IOL in the portal. He's spent a year in this offense with the HC, OC, and OL coach. He knows how to call the assignments for the OL. This is a great pickup.
He will probably bulk up some, but the rest of the OL may very well lose some weight to make them quicker and more agile. And there's no doubt their technique will improve. The OL coach is regarded as one of the best in the nation.
50 years ago.Dwight Stephenson made the NFL hall of fame playing at about 250 pounds.
Dwight Stephenson made the NFL hall of fame playing at about 250 pounds.
I remember the 1992 Tennessee game. One of their OL was 305 or close to it, and Jackson said “there’s another one of those 300 pounders you’re seeing more and more these days.â€ÂI still remember when, Keith Jackson, back in the day, was introducing our O-Line. I can't remember who it was, but I remember he weighed 230 pounds, and Keith Jackson was calling him the "bell cow of our offensive line". I believe that was in the 70's.
Both guys played Tough, hard nosed football.Another day; another time. John Hannah was only 265
Or we could have just stopped them on 4th and 2.It's time to call in the BRINKS TRUCK and get someone who can Center the ball.
IMO: If we had a CENTER Jim Harbaugh would not have that smug look on his cheating face.
We were unlucky against Michigan. If the ball was Rolled to our QB less, or Centered over the QBs head less or even Centered in the general direction of our QB, we would have had several additional scores and the outcome of the game would have favored Alabama.
