Transfer portal opens today.

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

I see Rylan Griffen is on the move again...
Just saw that on X. He must have not translated for Kansas.

I liked him as a player. Fit our system decently. He had grown into a big SG at close to 6'6" IIRC.

But I figure that it's unlikely to bring him back.

And there goes our first loss to the portal, Naas Cunningham..
That one was expected, I think. Oats commented a few weeks ago that he wasn't coming along quite like we'd hoped. Coach implied on Saturday there might be a few that we may choose not to bring back. I think this was one of them.

Few? That's interesting.
No, the exact quote was that we will try to bring back the ones we want, which to me implies there are some we don't. A few was just my speculation, because there's one more I expect us not to bring back. I didn't mean to imply he said a number. Just reading between the lines here.

I wonder about Reid too. That whole thing was odd this year. Never saw the effort.

and how little he played late, especially against Robert Morris when Nelson was supposed to be sitting.
And he was the only one I never saw asked about his future. They had quotes from all the others, but Reid nowhere to be found. I thought that was kinda strange.

Maybe the reporters didn’t know who he was with how little he was seen on the court. Lol

I think Reid only played a handful of games in which he was near 100% healthy. There were a few stretches when he looked like the best player on the court. I'm thinking (hoping) that he gets completely healthy and becomes a real factor. He has a good combination of size and skill and looks pretty strong for a freshman.
