I see where Travis made 2nd team SEC by sebaseball.com. Beau made 1st team, Honorable Mention:
Brent Carter, lhp, Alabama; Brian Reed, rhp, Alabama, Adam Pavkovich, ss
travis was going to sign with the royals as a free agent, but changed his mind so he gonna go to school and gradute.i see him maybe as a GA helping wells next year.
Garner signed as an undrafted free agent last week with the Kansas City Royals and has been assigned to the Arizona Rookie League at the Surprise Recreation Campus in Surprise, Ariz.
The Sturgis, Miss., native led the Crimson Tide with a .365 (88-for-241) with two home runs and 29 RBI. Garner also led Alabama in runs scored (64), total hits (88), triples (4) and stolen bases.
He was the Crimson Tide's leading hitter in SEC play each of the last two seasons.
Travis kind of reminds me of Rice LF, intense and gutty. He should do ok as long as he brings those qualities with him. He has the ability to make things happen and I wish him well.
