Trees on the Quad??

I just heard a rumor that all the trees between Gorgas Library and Denny Chimes have been removed. I know that they may have had hurricane damage but that's no reason to uproot them all. Again, I just heard this but I was wondering if anybody at the university knew for sure whether this rumor was true or not.

Yes there was a thread several weeks ago about UA cutting down the trees that lined the path from Denny Chimes to Gorgas b/c the trees were either diseased, dead or dying. So they removed them.

Now, as far as Katrina goes, there is a link on the football forum with campus pictures to see the damage from Katrina.
