... Just found this interesting.

IT was reported Friday that Tressel had retained the Services of Gene Marsh to represent him in Front of the NCAA's Committee on infractions Aug. 12. Marsh, for those unfamiliar, is the former Chairman of that Committee (2004-2006) and currently, the Cleveland Plain Dealer writes, specializes in compliance issues as an attorney for the Alabama law firm of Lightfoot, Franklin & White.

If I were him I would have done more due diligence on Marsh. As Bama found out, he did nothing more than hold our hand as we walked to the guillotine... Maybe negotiated a 30 day money back guarantee.

Have fun sweater-vest. You might think it makes you look smart but we've ALL found out how DUMB you really are. Maybe you can start over at SE Alaska State!

No surprises here, as I have said on more than one occasion, Tressel will not resign and Smith and Gee do not have the (insert your favorite expression) to fire him. He will be back on the sidelines for game 6 in Columbus. Now it opens up a whole new line of reasoning for CFB coaches, the truth doesn't matter. I do not know Gene Marsh, but I am not a fan of his and Tressel will probably fare better than Alabama did with Marsh's representation.

Yeah Tressel will be back on the sidelines, and they'll eventually when the teams performance inevitably falls off.

What makes you say sweater vest will fare better with Marsh.

Having Gene Marsh didn't help Alabama at all!

"The person I feel sorry for is Albert Means."

Gene Marsh, Alabama's faculty representative for athletics, told The Associated Press the accusations are part of the NCAA's probe of the school's football program.
"We've been working on this for several weeks, along with the NCAA, since December," Marsh said. "It's not out of the blue. The allegations have been known to us and the NCAA for several months. We've done a number of interviews."

I've been reading some great tid bits on ATPB lately. Regarding Tressel and OSU, check out this comment by one poster and Blue Tuna Tiger's reply.....

Poster - "It was the U.S. Attorney's investigation of Rife on federal drug-trafficking charges that led to Ohio State officials finding out about the improper benefits".
BTT's Reply
"Not at all. It was the Investigation that led to the PRESS uncovering what the h--- was going on for Years and Years. The Lantern has been looking into this for at least 2 years. Don't get sucked into the trap that OSU was blindsided with this. TOTAL BS.

Do Not forget what Gene Smith said when commenting on the reinstatement process thanking Delany, and do NOT forget tOSU has the largest compliance department for NCAA Members.

They have known for YEARS."

I'm loving this. I'm so fed up with the bigtenleventwelve's fans and their condescending attitude toward Bama and SEC schools.
