Trinidad Chambliss sues NCAA

His NFL contract would not pay as much RIGHT NOW!
Yes, I completely agree. That said, the money being paid to NFL QBs now is astounding.

Jalen Hurts makes 51 million dollars per season. He is guaranteed 179 million dollars. Jalen is a great guy and I am happy for him but I don't consider him to be a "great" quarterback.

Will Chambliss be as good as him? I don't think so but who knows? He will never be as strong as Jalen but he might be a better passer. I don't really understand what is motivating Chambliss to stay in school. Then again I am not a scout nor a psychologist.

No surprise as judge grants Chambliss a 6th year of eligibility. Was it wrong for the judge to dismiss the proceedings with a rousing “Hotty Toddy”?

I wonder if he is now eligible to enter the portal as a one time exception.

That would be kind of hilarious if he went somewhere else after all this.

Maybe even to one of the schools that Pete tampered with…lol

I'm pretty sure the only way we are having college football in 10 years is if the presidents of the universities all get together and just say we are done until we set some sane rules to govern this and make the rules set in stone. there really shouldn't be anyone having to "decide" if you qualify for an extra year if the rules were simpler. like say 5 years eligibility period, end of story. I realize tragedies happen to people, sicknesses. etc. Cry me a river. this is called life. If he has a future in football he can try the UFL or the NFL or Canada, heck even semi-pro teams are out there.

This was a state of Mississippi court, correct? What would stop a school , like LSU for example , from suing Chambliss, the NCAA, and Ole Miss in Louisiana to not let him play in Baton Rouge due to being out of eligibility.

Simply because no one has thought of that and tried it yet...

He has a lawyer. He just needs a better judge. 😉
I watched a snippet of the court video, and the Judge asked something like ‘ so your throat was sore , adnoids, tonsils and all?’ . Chambliss- Yes Sir. Judge ‘and you feel like you couldn’t play?’
Chambliss- Yes Sir.
It was such a joke. Pretty sure the hearing was a formality, the verdict was already in.

BTW, IMO Chambliss didn’t play in 2022 because they used a 2 QB system that took them to the Div2 National Title. A Medical redshirt 4 years after the fact is…

Deuce Knight not a happy Rebel-Bear, removed all Ole Miss mentions from his IG, claiming Golding told him he was the guy
What a mess college football is
