eleventy dimensional chess. no one expected us to close the strait. we have totally pwned them
as with every other declaration of “success” by this idiotic administration
One article I read pointed out that we've long known Iran would be able to close the straits and we don't have the capacity to clear the mines and open it... But Hegseth apparently wouldn't listen... Shocking.
There have been various war simulations conducted by the military that have suggested this and have effectively dissuaded everyone from attempting it. But we have Epstein’s top client willing to Leeroy Jenkins into it.

Trump: ohh no you don’t. We are closing it bigger than you ever could have with a blockade.

My Oregon bud texted me yesterday. Friends for over 25 years, but one topic we have never discussed at any length is religion and God. He was wheelchair bound in rural Washington state in the 1960s and 70s, so he didn't exactly have the best experience with the Catholic Church or the Christians of his day. (He was taken to some sort of gathering after Mass one morning, and his grandparents - that's who raised him - told them to not bring him around because it was a downer for everyone else there). It's just not something we talk about very much with each other.
But yesterday morning he texted me and said, "Holy cow, for maybe the first time ever, you and me and the pope ALL AGREE on something!
The CENTCOM commander can come out and actually say this if I'm supposed to believe it.
All of my life, I have attempted - whether I like the President or not - to give the benefit of the doubt where it concerns foreign policy until I cannot do so. (To give the most heated example, I DO NOT think Bush 43 LIED about Iraq having WMDs in 2003, I think he was MISLED by advisors and MISTAKEN in the path chosen. I think he sincerely believed it when George Tenet said it was a slam dunk - unaware as his Daddy always was that the CIA is notorious for overstating threats because nobody wants to be the next Neville Chamberlain or April Glaspie). Even as much as I loathed Bill Clinton, there was always a "politics ends at the water's edge" understanding.
But the current President has made it impossible - because he lies when there's no reason to lie. We all know why Clinton lied under oath about adultery because every man on this board would have done the same thing. We know why Reagan lied about selling arms to Iran (begun by - guess who? Yep, Israel!), we know why Bush 41 lied about tax increases, and we know why Obama lied about choosing your own doctor. We know why Nixon lied about Watergate.
But the problem is, this one lies about EVERYTHING.
This one LIES ABOUT HIS WEIGHT and has for years.
So just pardon me if I don't think "hey, that's a decent enough outcome" because the list of lies is so long it would make a convicted rapist blush.
Well, except for this one.
Trump is the true world’s enemy right now. Blockading a strait already closed is only meant to bring the world’s economy to a breaking point. He’s willing to screw over every working class person on the planet because he’s America’s Hitler.
It’s time for congress to end this war immediately and bring our troops home. It’s time for our military to stop following the orders of the mad man in the White House.

If he is only blockading Iranian oil I support, it makes sense, it but we really dont know what he means at this point. He probably doesn't know yet either.
Do they war game the stupid decisions? Meaning like going ahead with a strategy that no competent regime would do allied or axis.
Somehow, I believe we are thin on intelligence of stupid decisions...
