Trump Attacks Iran, IV

I thought the same thing going in. I hoped I was wrong, but sadly I wasn't. The only way to truly deal with Iran is to topple the government and kill all the leaders and the IRGC, and no one wants to do that and I don't either. It would be another forever war.

You can't end a war in the Middle East and truly have it be over for a Western country. They aren't Japan or Germany. The Islamic ideology makes it impossible to do.

Yes... Too many people think it is Iraq, but it is a much larger country with a much larger population and lots of difficult mountainous terrain. Iraq is mostly flat and desert with a few major population centers that we were readily able to occupy.

Apparently they still upwards of 60-70% of their drone and missile stocks and could do some serious damage around the gulf if they load up and launch everything they have. Drones are the great equalizer, we desperately need to get to Ukraine and learn everything they have been doing, pronto.

nothing to see here folks

For months, staffers for Pete Hegseth’s Pentagon have been under tremendous pressure to produce data and internal reports that match President Donald Trump’s constant flow of self-serving propaganda on the Iran war.

Two U.S. officials and another source familiar with the matter tell Zeteo that when staff have produced data and analyses seen as too gloomy to the American side, higher-ranking officials in Trump’s Department of Defense have told them they need to frontload and emphasize the “good news,” before the reports get briefed to the White House and the president.

Materials that sources say have invited Trumpian edits have included internal data and reports on Iranian military capabilities, damage to Iranian targets, remaining munitions and weapons on all sides of the war, and other key metrics used to measure military success or failure.

There's no military ending to wars in an area that a good chunk of the people believe that the other side should not exist, and their country is not a valid country. Any entrance in that fray is folly.

Here on the ground one can only conclude that Madison is run by the developers and contractors with an in with city government.
Sadly, too many cities are often run by developers in one way or another. And when the folks on the ground try to truly make something for the people like a "15 minute city", it is unfairly attacked (politically) like Guernica.

That's what you get when you mix excessive bravado, a never back down President's orders, poor historical knowledge/understanding (for someone in his position), massive doses of hair gel, excessive desire for TV ratings, and way too much beer in one brain.

Unfortunately, as with most of Trump's appointees, he is simply not experienced, knowledgeable, or of the right temperament for the job at hand.
