Trump deeds and misdeeds VI

Not even close. Nice try, though.

Trump deliberately and with intent overvalued at loan time and undervalued at tax time.

Show me where JS did the same.

Hypocrisy, thy name is Republicrat. That was my only point. These people are so full of crap, they squeak going into a turn. So yeah, exactly the like Trump (which is why they were all such good friends until OMB got into politics.)

If you are not aware, the NY Post is a tabloid.

But even if the article is accurate -- I don't think it is -- Jon Stewart's opinion of Trump overvaluing his property is valid.

ETA: I'm not finding anything about Jon Stewart in any other news source.

That’s because it isn’t a serious article based on facts.

The article doesn’t even make sense.

Sure, and WaPo is the CIA's crown jewel in their Mockingbird apparatus.
Not trying to start anything with you. I like some of your posts and like your sense of humor. I've just noticed you've posted several articles from the NY Post in the last few days.

I do read WaPo. I haven't found anything that makes me think they are in any way connected with the CIA. AAMOF, I find WaPo a reliable news source. If you don't, I question whether or not you have actually read it for a period of time. The opinions are definitely left leaning.

ETA: The reason I started reading NYT and WaPo is because they're both cheap. You have to get the special deals though. Periodically I cancel my subscription, then they send me the special to keep from losing me as a subscriber.

it's a q thing, you wouldn't understand

Q believers have a tremendous amount of baggage on the crazy train in the form of crank magnetism: special counsel Robert S. Mueller III is actually investigating high-level Democrats, the Illuminati, the Rothschild conspiracy, "Operation Mockingbird" (an alleged 20th century CIA infiltration of the media), fascism, the hidden meaning of Francis Ford Coppola films, and Christian revivalism.[19] Oh, and J.P. Morgan had the Titanic sunk to take out his millionaire rivals,[20] and "John F. Kennedy Jr. faked his death and joined Trump's secret evil-fighting organization, where he writes 4chan posts under the pseudonym 'Q'."

Let's review: From what I can tell, Stewart paid taxes based on the assessor's valuation of the property--NOT a valuation that he provided to the state. What he did do is SELL the property for a lot more than it was worth--which, unless he held a gun to the head of the buyer, isn't a crime. What, precisely, did Stewart do that you think is a crime?

Trump on the other hand, 1. Drastically lowballed the value of his property to the government for purposes of property taxes, and 2. Drastically highballed the value of the same property to the banks from whom he was trying to get a loan.

I realize that your whataboutism frequently makes you grasp at straws, but please.

It's just another false equivalency from the right and "totally not right".

Yes, he paid taxes on what the tax assessor assessed, as most people do.

Then he sold the property for what the market would bear.

Then when the market had gone south someone else sold the property for less.

It really is just made up crap someone is trying to stick to whatever gullible wall they can find. There are no shortage of those walls.

And then they tell us that peddling these "false" accusations against Trump only weakens our position.

I havent read this but I wonder if Trump litigated the assessed value of his NY properties with the board of equalization? He probably got a reduced assessment just because people didnt want to mess with him. If the evidence he submitted in those hearings was fraudulent then this is where the fraud occurred.

As for the overvaluations to obtain bank loans, unless the loans were in default then I dont see where the damages arose.

If its not apparent by everyone by now, Trump weaponizes every legal or financial transaction he enters. He doesnt necessarily profit off the substance the transaction. He profits off the utter stupidity of the other party entering into the transaction with him.

And he is taking this same approach with respect to running our country. Exploit every relationship and resource for maximum personal gain and leverage.

Looks like my day might not be the relaxing end-of-the-month day I was hoping for, so I've gotta keep this shorter than I normally would prefer.

First, you definitely are one of the easier-going posters here and I do like interacting with you. I'm not here to change minds; any psychologist worth his or her salt will tell you this is impossible. However, I do try and bring balance to this board by introducing ideas that would otherwise never be seen here. Living inside an echo chamber just isn't healthy. If it were, I'd spend all my time on libertarian boards.

Believe it or not, I see much here that I agree with and we share many concerns. I loathe racism in all its forms, particularly the soft bigotry of low expectations. I don't want to see the U.S. devolve into fascism, but on the other hand, I don't want it to turn into a banana republic, which means all this "by any means necessary" BS I hear is utterly repugnant to me. I've raked Trump over the coals many times around here, but people just seem to keep forgetting. I'm completely indifferent about where a man chooses to insert his penis as long as the recipient is A: consenting and B: legal. Otherwise, go nuts. I could keep going, but I think you get the point.

Second, this is an entertainment venue. I am usually found here while I'm waiting for some putz in Mobile or Montgomery to provide me critical information I need to continue my day. (I know the wheels of government turn slowly, but damn.) Yes, I often use humor as a counter to stupidity, a habit that has gotten me in trouble many times over the years. Nevertheless, I do love writing and this is just another outlet that allows me to do so. I'm also highly prone to introducing an idea or link or whatever just to see how people react to it. I often throw in links w/o comment (like I did above.) I never once suggested that Jon and Don were essentially the same thing, but had I made a side-bet on the responses, I would have won a bundle. Don't ask me why; this simply fascinates me. It also reinforces much of what I think of humanity in general.

Anyhoo, I've gotta get back to work....I think. The email I just received was too vague to be useful and I have a feeling that my follow-up inquiry will mostly likely result in me wanting to drive straight to ADSS and kicking someone in the ass hard enough to cause a nosebleed. I swear, if idiots could fly, that place would be a damn airport. If I'm unable to interact with you again, have a safe and joyful holiday weekend.

That begs the questions:
1. Are you married or have a significant other?
2. If so:
a. Does your spouse or significat other read this board
b. Where will you be sleeping tonight after searching for a lawyer today? :giggle:

Heh, my wife KNOWS where my car is parked every night, you can be sure of that. Why? Well, if you've never tried provoking a Latina to wrath, here's my advice: don't. Those women will flat cloud up and storm down on you. The last time my wife was truly angry with me, I'm almost certain she created a rift in time in the pantry, which is where she was standing when she realized I ate her chocolates. This is why I never go in there anymore. God only knows what's waiting for me in there.

I understand. My steady for three years was Latina. At the end, we agreed that Latin and Anglo personalities didn't really mix. For example, she'd have a temper flare and be over it in 20 minutes (and assume I should be also), I should forget the details of what she said in anger. Meanwhile, I'd still be simmering about it three days later...

When deciding who is right and who is wrong in situations like this, I have a very simple solution and all it takes is asking myself the following question: Do I want to get laid tonight? If the answer is yes, then clearly I was in the wrong. If the answer is no (and you can probably guess this doesn't happen very often) then sure, I'll let my pride do the talking.

You obviously have the temperament to deal with it. I couldn't stand the ups and downs...

I'm more of a pragmatist than most people. Working in mental health, that's something you've got to develop or that business is not for you. Don't get me wrong, I'm not Sheldon Cooper level or anything, but I have pretty firm hold of my emotions. ;)
