Ok so if I am reading this correctly:
- Israel is going to withdraw first
- THEN…..Hamas will release hostages, less than half who might possibly be alive

Yeah, l can see where this one will go.

I give Trump credit for trying just as l loathe Bill Clinton but give him credit for trying on this issue.

But just wait and see what happens when some alleged technicality on the withdrawal becomes the excuse for holding onto a few hostages or releasing the wrong body (which happened earlier this year).

Agreed. I hope Trump's plan holds, but I doubt it will. Hamas will not give up power as long as they live. They - like every other neighboring Muslim country - will sacrifice every Palestinian for their cause. And most Palestinians effectively chose to be willingly sacrificed. And I don't know how a peace plan can overcome that.

I thought the Nobel lost its luster when the committee gave it to Jimmy Carter and basically admitted (using $10 words) they did it because of George W. Bush. Obama getting it was a joke, and I'll bet if you caught Barack out back and shared a smoke with him, he'd even admit it.

But in all honesty, the big fluff was when Gorbachev ALONE was given it for the end of the Cold War. Yes, even though it was Reagan that called for the wall to come down and Gorby who (oh yes) LIED about Chernobyl in the opening days of that tragedy, he alone got the credit for the award the American military build-up and Soviet screwup in Afghanistan largely caused. That one right there told you all you need to know about the award. (Also...Carter should have gotten it for the Camp David Accords and one can argue for Clinton regarding Oslo Accords in 1993 though less than Carter).
