The MAGA aren't "really" conservative.

They're just "anti-Left."

More precisely, they're "anti-anything we think might possibly be considered by at least two of our friends to be Left."

They certainly are happy to have the government impose their values and belief system on the rest of us, regardless of the mechanism. They're not conservative, pro-democracy, or patriots.

Yes, we've all seen how:
anti-Russian
pro-deficit reduction
pro-rising tide lifts all boats
pro-law and order
pro-states rights over large federal interference/intrusion*

the GOP is. They've abandoned even the pretense of any of those things because Donald Trump wants it all, like a sex addict/coke addict/power addict/yahoo without any sense of self-control.

* - (given the provocative nature of the term "states rights" - due to the same kinds of misuse btw - better would be, "government authority at the lowest level going upward")

I don't know how one can objectively review the entire situation at this juncture and not see that the downstream effects are going to cause major problems for us in so many ways.
