Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s surprise gathering of hundreds of generals and admirals in Virginia next week is being called so he can describe the administration’s reinvention of the Department of Defense as the “Department of War” and outline new standards for military personnel, according to half a dozen people familiar with the planning.

“It’s meant to be a show of force of what the new military now looks like under the president,” a White House official told CNN.

The meeting is expected to resemble “a pep rally” where Hegseth will underscore the importance of the “warrior ethos” and outline a new vision for the US military, said three of the sources. He is expected to discuss new readiness, fitness and grooming standards the officers are expected to adhere to and enforce.

1) I agree with you we have a serious head case with brain devolution holding the nuclear codes.
2) I don't think that has anything to do with him acting like he heard the first time.

I think he literally doesn't care, I think he looks down on the great unwashed (his smarmy comment years ago about "dumb Southerner" makes crystal clear his contempt for his own voters; it's like how a black person can tell if you slip up and say the N-word whether it's a sincere mistake or if it's common to your vocabulary), and I think he has the same contempt a shark always has for his marks.

IOW - I agree he's lacking in the grey matter, but I don't think that has anything to do with his phony "I didn't know this." Because he knows those same states are going for him in 2028 anyway.

They're rightly dismissed as "cuck-servatives" for this clown.

Don't tell me you're a "law and order conservative" if you voted for Donald Trump in 2024 - because you're not. Tell me you just like his schtick or tell me you don't care about those things or tell me it's because you actually thought he might sorta possibly be closer to your viewpoint on some issues. Maybe. Hard to tell because his mind changes about as often as he consumes a Diet Coke.

But don't give me "law and order", you lost that when Emperor Don-Dorito went Full Felon and you voted for him anyway.

Very little this guy is doing is actual conservatism by any stretch of the imagination. He's not even anti-Russia, which used to be an entrance requirement. OK, he's sort of "pro-Israel", maybe, and he's anti-illegal immigration while apparently also manhandling some citizens who, well, don't "look right".

How foreign investors buying American companies fits into Trump’s “America First” agenda is beyond my comprehension. You’d think Making America Great Again would include not handing over our companies to other countries. I mean, Trump basically coerced TikTok to sell to US investors but we are letting EA walk?

Oh wait, Trump’s son-in-law is one of the investors. Oh, that’s right. It’s never been an “America First” agenda. It’s always been about “Trump First” or Making Me Money Again.


I hate Trump, I hate everything he stands for and he is destroying this country. He loves to claim he is bringing this and that back to America. He claims foreign countries have stolen from this country and gotten rich off of Americans for decades and that time is ending. So he should be blasting foreign investors for trying to buy US companies. He should be threatening to block this stuff if he really cared about America First.

But no, his family is involved. It has always been about making money for him, he doesn’t care about this country, he doesn’t care about a single person in this country that is not named Trump. The grift continues.

Screw EA, screw the Saudis and screw dumb donkey Trump.
