I can tell you from my point of view why I don't say much about it other than being very relieved that the living hostages have come home. Nobody trusts it. Considering the players involved, most Jews, even in Israel, just don't trust this to hold. Israelis are still shell shocked and haven't truly been able to breath just right since that well known Oct. 7th when the world fell apart for them. They will now begin to process from a different angle. Many have been angry with Netanyahu. I definitely have but for Israelis it's home and family he's endangered. Hamas? Here's a quote from Dan Perry's article in 'The Forward'--"The early signs are bad, despite Hamas’ release of the 20 remaining living hostages on Monday. Even as Trump and the Arab leaders signed their declaration, reports from Gaza described Hamas commanders consolidating power and executing accused collaborators. I fully understand the criticisms from other parts of the world, but the hamas idiots have to realize that if they want to live, this is the only way out. If they break this deal, I not only expect Israel to begin its campaign again, but I'd not be surprised if Trump sent in air strikes - the totality of which might wipe Gaza off the map.
Hamas has lost all allies. Iran is out, Hezbollah is out, Qatar is out, and so is the rest of the Middle East. I do expect these nuts to try something and get crushed. They will try something in my opinion because they are radical Islamists that don't care if they live or die in many cases and see no inherent value in human life.
This war is so old and has actually been going on for longer than people truly realize. Though I understand some Palestinian stances, I also think they may have handed down anger over many rulers throughout the region's existence to each successive generation. Perhaps it has coalesced into a focus on Israel which now may represent all those who were actually overlords. Just my mind mulling it over there and I could be very far off the mark. They traditionally always fought each other. Will that region ever be at peace?
