I heard recently that Uber Eats will allow you to pay for your meal in monthly installments. That says a lot about American society, right there.
American society is fine with a 38T federal debt. Why pay for something now, aka higher taxes, when you can just put it off until 'tomorrow'. Screw our children's future. The average CC debt is now around 8k. That includes all those at zero. A lot of people will be all for capping interest at 10%. Ordering from Uber if you are already deeply in debt is just plain stupid!

I'm sure this is nothing to worry about...

Just not-a-petty-tyrant doing not-a-petty-tyrant things.

“Legal experts warn the move would dismantle a century-old norm designed to insulate federal prosecutions from political pressure and personal bias.”

Judge posts job opening for top prosecutor spot that DOJ claims Lindsey Halligan occupies

WASHINGTON — A top federal judge in the Eastern District of Virginia has posted a job opening for a top federal prosecutor position that the Trump administration claims is occupied by Trump loyalist Lindsey Halligan.

Chief Judge M. Hannah Lauck entered an order on Tuesday ordering the clerk of the court to post a vacancy announcement, soliciting applications from attorneys interested in filling the position of Interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia.
She was the 'lawyer' that trump saw at Mar Lago wearing a suit and looking hot.

Two members of Elon Musk’s DOGE team working at the Social Security Administration were secretly in touch with an advocacy group seeking to “overturn election results in certain states,” and one signed an agreement that may have involved using Social Security data to match state voter rolls, the Justice Department revealed in newly disclosed court papers.

I just saw some of trumps speach at Davos and had to trun it off. Droning on with one lie after another. Mutiple times he referred to 'Sleepy Joe Biden'. I fondly remember when politics ended at our border and trump, of all people, shouldn't be talking about sleepy anybody.
He's a complete disgrace to the United States on a world stage. :(
Anybody still supporting this demented old fool should be ashamed of themselves.

Jack Smith, the former special counsel who oversaw two investigations into President Trump that resulted in more than 40 federal charges, will testify publicly for the first time today at a hearing before the House Judiciary Committee.

For God's sake, what idiot is writing his speeches?

"You don't turn the Titanic around overnight" is NOT the analogy you want to use to refer to the American economy.

Plus, you ivy-league yahoo, not only could they turn the Titanic aroound overnight, things would have likely turned out better if they had.

Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

It's amazing that some people still like and/or respect this guy. He's the very definition of a despicable human being.

The U.S. owes about $280 million to the global health agency, according to WHO. And Trump administration officials acknowledge that they haven’t finished working out some issues, such as lost access to data from other countries that could give America an early warning of a new pandemic.

The withdrawal will hurt the global response to new outbreaks and will hobble the ability of U.S. scientists and pharmaceutical companies to develop vaccines and medicines against new threats, said Lawrence Gostin, a public health law expert at Georgetown University.

Jessica: The New York Times poll was so bad for him that he's suing the New York Times. -17 immigration, -18 on economy, -19 on foreign relations, -20 on cost of living and those who care about the Epstein file, which is a lot of people, -44. The coalition from 2020 is back, so young voters, Latino voters, black voters back to usual support for the Democratic party.
