Suggesting everyone has to speak up or their silence means approval is why we have so much mindless (and ineffective) virtue signaling now.

Agreed, well said. Russell Moore stated succinctly how I feel about the situation. One fallacy on the socials is “silence equals approval.” Not everything needs someone’s comment.
Demanding that everyone has to fall in line and act as determined by the groupthink is.
Silence does not equal acceptance, it just mean that the person doesn't feel the need to address it wherever they are. You don't speak up on every single disgusting act you see in all aspects of your life - no one does - so to call anyone who stays silent about something 'vile' is juvenile at best, virtue signaling groupthink at worst.

I'm just tired of our president doing these immature and in this case, racist things. At what point is he going to be held accountable? Anybody else would have been out of a job at this point. I am not virtue signaling. I am expressing how much i despise the guy and i wish people(both online and offline) would try to hold him accountable when he does stuff like this. This is a free country, so i can't force my views on anyone, but i am free to express outrage when something like this happens. Maybe i crossed the line. But, Trump has crossed so many lines, people have become desensitized.
I agree, but you’re not suggesting anyone that doesn’t agree with you is vile. Disliking or disagreeing with someone’s actual response is very different than categorizing people based on their perceived position because of their lack of response.
Everything you said here is fine. I’ve zero issue with your position, but I’ll always push back when someone categorizes people based on their lack of a desired response.
I don't think lack of response means a lack of concern. But I think the cowards in Congress fear only one thing and that is being on the opposite side of their constituents. So the value in more people speaking out would be to possibly provide some cover for Congress to develop a spine and assert their proper Constitutional authority. If they sense public opinion is shifting then maybe, and it's a longshot, just maybe they will start pushing back on our wannabe dictator.

He did it and it blew up in his face and they are scrambling.
Of course the whole debacle won’t end a single person’s career.
It’s a bit concerning they are just saying that basically anyone has access to impersonate the POTUS from an Official account.

And btw.......let's just say FOR THE SAKE OF ARGUMENT that it was a staffer (narrator: it wasn't a staffer).

Trust me, if I'm a Trump staffer, I'm shaking in my boots right now that he might actually find one of us to throw overboard and blame and for the rest of my life people will think I'm a racist even though I didn't do it and would never have approved of it.

I believe there are quite of few people (politicians, actors, etc.) that pay people to handle their social media. I don' think Trump manages his own mainly because I don' think he's smart enough to do it. I would love to know the backstory behind the section at the end. Who created it and how did it get attached to the voting fraud video? He's go some hard core MAGA young people working on his staff. I'm guessing one of them did it, not understanding the gravity of what they posted.
Let's be honest: he just found the perfect way to distract from his Epstein files - again.
