I hate the NC game being played on a Monday night.nope - me no likey at all
Its not actually on a Monday. November 23rd, 2024, is a Saturday.I will never understand the thinking - if I can flatter it by calling it that - by networks to schedule marquee events like the National Championship Game, or a prime CFB match-up, on a Monday night...
yeah I was confused. I thought they were scheduling a Monday night game then having a short week for the Iron Bowl. I was about to blow a gasketIts not actually on a Monday. November 23rd, 2024, is a Saturday.
The wording of the whole thing was stupid.
Thanks for the clarification...not enough coffee this morning. Its not actually on a Monday. November 23rd, 2024, is a Saturday.

See above...I misread the article...they announced it on Monday night...it's played on a Saturday.Hate it. NFL MNF seems to end at midnight here in EST. Too late for me on a school night.
Not your Fault man. They really did word it in a way that made it sound like it was on a Monday. Thanks for the clarification...not enough coffee this morning.
Mods, perhaps you can delete this thread...no need to sow dissent and anxiety for no reason.
Sorry for the goof.

No guarantee it's going to be Georgia with divisions being no more. From what I've heard this morning is it looks like Georgia, Oklahoma, and Auburn in that stretch, you could be playing a team in the SEC championship game you just played a week or two ago and possibly again in college playoff meaning you a team three times
Because it was announced on MNF last night. It's really poor phrasing. It should have been, "Two 2024 Sec games were announced during tonight's MNF broadcast."Why the heck would they include MNF in the headline?
I get where it came from, but it makes no sense to me for them to include it. It only creates confusion and I can't think of any reason that anyone would be interested in that part of the "story"Because it was announced on MNF last night. It's really poor phrasing. It should have been, "Two 2024 Sec games were announced during tonight's MNF broadcast."
Thanks. I was thinking we're playing at OU on a Monday night, then play Auburn the following Saturday. Its not actually on a Monday. November 23rd, 2024, is a Saturday.

Not to get off topic but I hate that too. Why not Friday night???I hate the NC game being played on a Monday night.
