I hate the NC game being played on a Monday night.

I'm sure there's a ton of money involved, but a regular season game on MNF? Stupid.

I will never understand the thinking - if I can flatter it by calling it that - by networks to schedule marquee events like the National Championship Game, or a prime CFB match-up, on a Monday night...

yeah I was confused. I thought they were scheduling a Monday night game then having a short week for the Iron Bowl. I was about to blow a gasket

See above...I misread the article...they announced it on Monday night...it's played on a Saturday.

From what I've heard this morning is it looks like Georgia, Oklahoma,and Auburn in that stretch, you could be playing a team in the SEC championship game you just played a week or two ago and possibly again in college playoff meaning you a team three times

No guarantee it's going to be Georgia with divisions being no more.

Because it was announced on MNF last night. It's really poor phrasing. It should have been, "Two 2024 Sec games were announced during tonight's MNF broadcast."

I get where it came from, but it makes no sense to me for them to include it. It only creates confusion and I can't think of any reason that anyone would be interested in that part of the "story"

Yeah, the announcement was made on Monday Night Football. The games are on Saturdays. I didn't see it as any special announcement. Figured as much anyway for the big games.
