Next week's opponent Tennessee lost two key offensive starters during a 34-3 victory over Mississippi State on Saturday night.
Gerald Jones, the Vols' leading receiver entering Saturday, and starting right guard Anthony Parker each suffered high ankle sprains, according to UT coach Phillip Fulmer.
"We'll see how they are tomorrow," Fulmer said.
High ankle sprains are known to be the worst kind, likely taking each player out of Saturday's game against Alabama. While Parker is a solid offensive lineman, the big loss is Jones, a dynamic open-field threat who returns kicks and has lined up at quarterback some this season. He was injured on a punt return in the first quarter.
