Crime Blotter: UGA defensive end charged with felony

According to today's Marietta Daily Journal UGA defensive end Michael Lemon will surrender to police today. He is being charged after he sucker punched someone at a party for talking to his girlfriend last Saturday. The person he punched was knocked unconscious and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. According to the paper he could face up to 20 years in prison.

Even worse, if traditional discipline policies are followed he could be suspended for the opening series of downs in their first game.

For the life me I can not figure out why young folks would ruin such a good opportunity.

And there's some that think these problems with players are just isolated at Alabama. It's been all over the country for the past six months, players getting suspended, arrested and kicked off teams at an alarming rate. If Clemson has anymore players suspended or kicked off the team they're going to have to start giving band members a playbook for August 30th.

The police blotter continues. What a shame. These kids don't think. Now he is going to be in a whole lot of trouble.
