Hayes looked great on the first drive of the second half. He caught a td pass on the drive. Downs had an interception in the first half and a short return. The announcers keep talking about Owens being the top back in the country. Hayes has looked far better. I’m glad we got him. Keely has had a real good second half. Last number 97 we had this good was Biscuits.

The impressive thing about haynes is that doesn't know what he's doing yet and he looks that good. Elbows, knees, going every which way, but he is strong and fast. Keeley looked good but I think he got a little banged up. Keeley, Proctor and haynes physically are ready to go now, with time they will only improve.. Future is solid.

Downs got ding late in the game. He got up real slow. Don’t know the problem. The announcers never committed on it.

One of the mods on another site, Charlie Potter I think, said that Downs told him he was fine. I only watched the last 10 minutes of the game and saw him kind of limp off the field. Definitely need him and a few other freshman studs to stay injury free. I think Caleb and a few other freshmen will see the field a lot.

I didn't see a thread on this game. Watched first half last night and watching the second half today.

The defense in this game seems to be ahead of the offense. Hate we missed on Woods, but glad we probably won't see him much at Clemson.

There's a handful of Bama players in this game. Hale had a few touches. Young has been a non-factor so far, but the running game in these games are not featured much.

The Miami verbal, McClain, would be a nice addition!

I've been very impressed with Branch, the kid going to USC. Dynamic player. Glad he's not going to be in the SEC.

The Sooner QB recruit, Jackson Arnold, has also looked savvy.
I really don't get the fascination with Peter Woods. several players we signed at the same position were rated higher than Woods.

Woods will do fine at Clemson but had he signed with a Sec Teams, he would he a back up for Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas and etc.

Woods was pretty much unblockable in that game. He will do well at Clemson. He is a little undersize but really quick and uses his hands well.

From a 247 article on the game-

BIGGEST RISER: ALABAMA EDGE SIGNEE YHONZAE PIERRE

As typical for most postseason all-star events, there’s always going to be one or two prospects that exceed expectations with surprising on-field performances. This week that prospect was no other than Alabama Crimson Tide signee Yhonzae Pierre. Although it wasn't our first live exposure to Pierre in the evaluation process, the Alabama native caught our attention throughout the week as he was one of the most consistent prospects in attendance. Measuring in at 6-foot-2 ½ and 223-pounds, Pierre possesses an explosive lower half and excellent athleticism as a perimeter pass rusher. Between the Alabama signee’s combination of quickness and flexibility, the Eufaula standout proved almost unblockable at times during 1-on-1’s and the 11-on-11 team periods. A dynamic pass rusher that hasn’t even scratched the surface of his potential, Alabama fans should be salivating at the idea of Keon Keeley and Pierre on the field together.

WELCOME TO THE ELITE: ALABAMA RB SIGNEE JUSTICE HAYNES

You might be wondering how someone who is currently ranked the No. 43 prospect in the country isn’t already considered elite but if there was any doubt before this week in San Antonio, Justice Haynes provided plenty of context as to why he should be considered one of the best all-around prospects in the country. Measuring in at 5-foot-9 and 200-pounds in San Antonio, Haynes was undoubtedly one of the most collegiate ready prospects in attendance this week. Although he had a very productive week of practice, it was Haynes’ performance on Saturday in the Alamo Dome that should have the Crimson Tide faithful excited for the arrival of one of Georgia’s finest. Displaying a little bit of everything this week, Haynes’ combination of vision, patience, and pure feel for the game is hard to overstate. A physical runner with no shortage of tools at his disposal, Haynes is arguably the cleanest prospect in the cycle.
I don’t know what the comparisons have been, but I think Justice reminds me a little of Mark Ingram in style of play.

Heard one of the commentators say he likes "to press the hole" which I interpreted to mean he's not afraid of the contact, which makes me think he may have a more aggressive style.

Just getting around to watching the game Haynes had some nice runs especially in the 2nd half. Love his downhill style. Downs is going to be really fun to watch in crimson. And Keon is a beast add some college muscle to him and he is going to be a nightmare for opposing offenses.
