Bielema upset over nothing

I think we're seeing the beginning of the end of the high-and-mighties in the Big Ten. He did nothing illegal, Bielema just wants Urban to get the 411 from the commish about all the "gentlemen agreements." Urban will tell him he's not breaking any rule and tell them to stuff it. He'll steam roll them in recruiting the next few years and the changing of the guard will begin. They'll become what they think they're too good to be: just like the SEC.

I have never seen the problem with coaches recruiting players who have already committed. If a kid doesn't want to hear from a school, all he has to do is not answer the phone and put Meyer's e-mail in his spam folder.

The Big coaches will band together and pass their version of the Saban rule because they just don't want to work as hard as Urban. Bret Bielema should shut up right after he apologizes to Meyer....

I said it in one of those playoff threads, but the Big Ten just needs to separate itself from competitive football, much like the Ivy League. They can take their buddies in the Pac 12 with them and their precious Rose Bowl too. Leave the rest to the conferences interested in competing and not playing patty cake on the quad.

I always liked Urban when he was UF. While I don't like tOSU, I hope Urban massacres the B1G every year.
beg to differ. didn't like pope Urban when he was at UF and sure not going to like him even more so at Ohio St. this union will make me puke.

get ready for the Urban love fest from the media. one of the darlings of CFB and one of its shining star together at last. its going to be worst than the USC brown nosing that you're accustomed to!!

“I can tell you this,” says Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema. “We at the Big Ten don’t want to be like the SEC—in any way, shape or form.”

Bret,

I don't think there is any danger of the Big Ten becoming anything like the SEC.
Yea Bret, you're so classy when you're running up the score on high school teams. Where's the class when your first team puts one in with 2 minutes to go up by 50?

Loved this quote from the article:
"Look, Vanderbilt—for love of God, Vanderbilt—had a better recruiting class than 10 of the Big Ten’s 12 schools."

Those who fail to adapt will soon perish, Bret. I see OSU running the conference for the forseeable future, that is until the other Big 10 babies band together and put a rule that ties Urban hands because they don't want to work that hard.

There's a reason the B1G is something like 1-10 in January bowl games the past two seasons (with the one win being an epic choke job by Richt and UGA). Doubt that changes soon, and luckily we can add to their misery come game 1.
