Venting- can’t cancel beach trip

I’ve had a nagging cough for 6 months or so. Can’t seem to rid myself of it. I’ve had suggestions it’s my BP meds. I’ve considered the drive down, alone, to go in their office coughing and try to check in. Tell them they made me come down. Start acting feverish and whatnot. See if they get the point.
Ivey just had a presser and apparently was asked about closing the beaches and she had no clue what to say. Frankly she can see that they are closed now, and suffer a small tax hit, or let it go and help this mess breed and go all Summer with no lodging taxes coming in as things worsen.
Sounds like you are on an ACE inhibitor. It's a well-known side effect. Around here, they are hammering home the point that you should call the ER or your doctor before just showing up and to call 911, if you are having difficulty breathing. IDK what they would do, if you didn't follow that protocol and just appeared...

GERD can cause a cough. Some people mistake it for asthma symptoms.

Oh, I think they'd rebook now, but I just don't have an clear idea of when it would be safe to rebook for. I hope we'll know more before 5/18. We couldn't even legally visit my daughter anyway. BTW, is Dominik's sign viewable?

Facebook
i could view it. i could only understand "bon jour" and "bon courage, rachel and dominik" though

Delta gave me a credit with no issues basically they waved everything and issued a 1 year credit to each person for each ticket. I will have to call and rebook at a future date as their systems will try and charge a booking fee that their CRM System has a note to waive when I call. That is their standard answer to everyone right now

On the Dominiks question I have no idea what you are referring to there, sorry
i had them do that for me a couple of times. when my dad passed away a week before i was supposed to travel and when when they found my brain tumor two weeks before i was supposed to travel.

Well, they had a change of heart. They have now offered a reschedule at a date up to 1 year past the end of the outbreak. I need to nail them to the floor on that date but we won’t be losing the money. I’m afraid it’s too late for Liquid Life, they ticked off. A LOT of people.
I’ve seen pics today from the bridge crossing over the inlet on the East end of OBA and somewhere in Florida. People piled in on top of each other. 🤦🏻‍♂️

Why? Have they closed the beaches?

It was mentioned earlier that Seacrest (30-A) had closed it's private beach access. I would imagine that the rest of 30-A would follow suit...Panama City on one side and Destin on the other can't be too far behind.

I think I saw where the FL governor refused a general closure...

Don't know if you are on Lisinopril or not but lot's of folks have a cough with it and have to stop taking it.

You should be given some sort of rain check at the very least. If ever there were extenuating circumstances, it's now. Nobody should be having to eat the cost right now.

I stumbled across this thread and just wanted to add we also cancelled a beach trip (PCB) for week after next due to covid-19. Our condo was prepaid in full and we had no trip insurance. The rental company was under no obligation to refund anything. They refunded in full after a polite email exchange. They have a repeat customer in me for sure. They are a small, family owned business and are being hit hard by this. I'd love to share the name and link if mods approve, just didn't want to break any ad rules.
