This lot includes many unmatchably unique pieces from the legendary University of Alabama Crimson Tide football program.
19.25 inch by 13.25 inch Coca Cola, Golden Flake, and Paul "Bear" Bryant advertising store card from 1963: Coke and Golden Flake were sponsors of "The Bear Bryant Show," and published these ads regionally; there are very few known to still exist.
THE ROAD TO THE TOP by Tom Little. Copyright 1965 L.& M. Corporation, Montgomery, Alabama: 90 page soft cover pictorial book, "A History of the University of Alabama Football in Words and Pictures." The book covers the team history from 1892 to 1965, and features Joe Namath cover. At publication, Coach Bryant had lead the team to 60 victories in 7 years.
Collectors' Edition Athlon's Southeastern Football 1981 Annual Magazine: featuring Bear Bryant on the cover with the caption "306 and counting..." This was published the year before his retirement.
Two 1960s era football brochures, from the 1964 season and the 1966 season: 1964 features Joe Namath on cover, and has front interior photograph of Coach Bryant accepting the Sugar Bowl winner's trophy for that year. 1966 was an undefeated year for Alabama, with Kenny Stabler quarterbacking as a junior.
Five game programs from the 1949 season: complete and in good repair with some wear.
Eight game programs from the 1950 season: complete and in good repair with some wear. Includes Homecoming program.
Four game programs from the 1951 season: complete and in good repair with some wear.
