Waiting for Iron Bowl kick-off......

First off, let me introduce myself...My name is Jason and I'm a huge Tide fan. I have visited this site alot, but finally joined the other day....Great site!!!!

I'm sitting here at 12:15 am waiting on the Iron Bowl, reading all of Bama and Awbarns stats, reading every article I can find, and reading all these message board posts. I keep going over in my head the keys to winning this game (like what I think matters).
I feel nervous and excited as if I were playing in the game. I know the only two things we get out of this win is a good bowl and crushing cow-college's NC hopes. The last time I felt like this was last year before the SECCG.

Am I the only one, or am I just that crazy?

I'm nervous as heck, too, almost to the point of not even wanting to watch the game (just to avoid a complete nervous breakdown).

I hate Aubarn with a passion. Words in writing can't even describe my feelings toward the state rejects. This is the only game on the schedule I hate playing, just because seeing Alabama on the same field as those turds makes me feel unclean.

Dear god I hope we win tomorrow.

You're not CRAZY, you just LOVE the BEST team in all of college football!! Guess, what? You're not alone!!! I can't sleep, can't get away from my pc. If it hadn't have been Thanksgiving I would have been glued to this chair all day. It's a sad thing to be this obsessed. I just caught myself checking the countdown clock. Plus I've been harassing all my FB friends tonight with barn jokes, a link to the 1985 IB article, links to other articles from this site, etc The worst part may be that I'm female. There are several more ladies on here that are as obsessed, but my husband just left to do Black Friday shopping and I'm still here. lol

Ok, so talk all you want and win or lll.....win, we will all get through this together. :D

PS - RYNO!!!! I've warned you about that avatar!!! We are gonna hunt you down. ; )

I'm with you completely, but you understated the bold portion above. ALL I care about is crushing the barn's NC hopes. Everything else will take care of itself. :cool2:

If you're crazy, you have a lot of company. Welcome to the board. Thank goodness we do Thanksgiving today (kids go to their other half's family on Thanksgiving) so we can all get together all day. At least cooking the turkey, ham, and cornish hens take up some of my time otherwise I would be like a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. Is it too early for a Bloody Mary? Nerves are acting up. ROLL TIDE - give 'em hell.

The odd part for me is, I have no "feel" regarding the outcome for this game like I normally do all the others. Its weird. I've not even made a score prediction on this game because of it.

Remember, AU is playing with fire bringing a 60th rated defense on the road in the SEC. They are likely to get seriously burned sooner rather than later. Also, that defensive line rotation in the 1st half being interrupted due to suspension is going to hurt them when they see Bama go no huddle and 5 wide, hitting crossing patterns and attacking the edges. I think we will once again see why it pays to have a 4 miilion dollar head coach that oozes passion and intensity 365!!!

It kinda feels like I have a lot of tests done and today I meet with the Dr to see the results of those tests. But I have one more test today to put all the cards on the table.

We all know this game isn't life or death, just feels like it because both sides LOVE some football.

Why can't I convince myself that this is just a game. I'm better than I used to be though. I finally made it to the point where I'm able to keep all my fingernails and hold down a meal on game day.

Maybe one day I'll be able to go to the bathroom less than three times a quarter.

I'm hoping....

It isn't just a game...lol..

It's the battle for braggin rights, the state championship, a possible edge in recruiting....it's ramifications go far beyond a mere game.
