You need to update your info a little bit. If you are talking about WR Joe Jones of Mountain Brook, he committed to Samford recently, and where on your list is the walk-on phenon from Vigor who played pro baseball for the past 4 years. I think his name is Damien Jones or something like that. RTR anyway.

Patrick Gordon is a great underated reciever, who did not get thrown to as much as he should of. His team ran a vere offense and did not throw the ball much. He is 6'7, runs a 4.6 forty. He will make a big impact on this team. I've turned him from purple and gold to bleeding crimson. He will be my roomate next year.

Adam Thrash--here's part of what Emfinger says:

"QB, Adam Thrash^ 6-5, 230, 4.9, of Little Rock Pulaski Academy, AR - Thrash is simply one of the top dropback passing quarterbacks in the country. His stats are unbelievable, his film is sensational, and his potential is incredible. So why is he not being recruited by every college team in the country. I simply do not have that answer. Consider these junior stats. He completed 262 passes out of 406 attempts for 3,973-yards and 48 touchdowns. His passing completion rate was a gaudy 64.5 percent. He averaged 331-yards per game and he had a great quarterback rating of 122.7. Thrash is a big, strong dropback passing quarterback who can throw every pass pattern. Although he is not a great threat to run, he is very capable of scrambling out of the pocket and throwing on the run. Going into his senior season, Thrash has already broken the Arkansas State touchdown passing record of 77. He also has excellent grades in the classroom with a fine 3.3 GPA and a 20 on his ACT test. Every year, there is a great quarterback who puts up incredible numbers and for some reason does not get the numerous scholarship offers that I feel that he should get.

Some of the Bryant schollies will end up playing and may or may not get the athletic scholly. They just will lose the Bryant scholly.

Jonathan (no "h") Lowe is Eddie's son, Woodrow's nephew.

Question for anyone who knows - What expenses does a Bryant scholarship cover. Obviously it covers tuition and fees, but what about books, room, board, etc.?

Does anyone have any info on David Brown the walk-on? All searches point to the other David Brown (Bob Jones senior who committed to GaTech).

I found where Dawson Brown committed to UAB last year. Did he transfer, go to prep school, sit out?

Saw on BamaMag where someone corrected Jay on the spelling of Brent's last name. It's Greer, not Grier.

Is Lane Stewart the kicker from Tuscola here in North Carolina? If so, I read something on him in the Asheville Citizen. They had him rated the best kicker in the Western North Carolina region.

ncbama, I do believe you are right regarding Lane Stewart. I looked up some info when his name first came up and he was from Tuscola. From what I read he seems to be a real good kicker.

Tuscola kicker Lane Stewart has decided to attend South Carolina as a walk-on rather than Alabama, which was his initial choice.
Stewart said South Carolina coaches contacted him after he gave his verbal commitment to Alabama, asking him if he wanted to be one of three kickers invited to walk on to their team.

Stewart said he decided to take their offer when he learned the Gamecocks' current kicker will be a senior this season, leaving the position open for the following season.

Here is a link from Bama Mag about the walk-on rules and it clarifys the situation.

And here is a recent correction clarifying point on the gray shirt situation from Bama Mag.
