Wallace Gillberry will be the next great lineman at BAMA. i said it after watching the A-Day game. He is smaller than most would think you should be to play DE in the SEC... yet he continually beats his man. I look for big things out of this kid....

not to mention his name is the kewlest name for a DE that i've ever heard. He just sounds like he would whoop your butt! :biggrin:

let's just hope he has a bit more class than David Pollack. the kid is a good tackler, but he needs to keep himself in check. i don't know how many times during the chokedawgs win over Georgia southern that he got away with unsportsmanlike conduct or excessive celebration. I really hate the little "skip walk" that a lot of players do now after they make a play. it's such an arrogant thing to do, and it's very disrespectful to other players. basically, i hate Pollack.

even tennersee's punter was doing the "skip walk" last night... after making good punts?!?!?! i mean... come on! i know it's a good punt, but dang... does it really require classlessness?

----- i just wish players would realize how much more intimidating it is to be beaten silently by players who know... the scariest man is one who knocks your head off and then walks slowly and calmly back to his respective line of scrimmage as if it was no big deal.-----

When Gillberry made the sack he put his finger over his lips as if to say hush. I think he is a great player but this is not needed. The classiest celebration is the finger pointed to the sky glorifing God not yourself.

It hasn't been that long since they had the punter who strutted like a drum major. Leaverton, I think. He was the most arrogant punter I have ever seen.
