I haven't gotten around to watching WandaVision yet. What do my fellow MCU fans think of it so far? (Please avoid spoilers, I just want to know if if is good and worth watching)

I'll wait until the entire first season is released and then binge it.

As CA said, it's definitely odd, at least the first 3 episodes. Looks like it's building though. Not the typical Marvel Universe chaotic violence we're all used to (at least so far). I'm staying with it just to see what it transitions into, all the while waiting for the Mandalorian to get back to matters at hand.

Each episode is based upon television styles of ascending decades...ie...1st episode is 50’s, 2nd is 60’s, 3rd is seventies, etc.

Difficult to get into until the 4th episode, and then the theme begins to come into view and things begin to make more sense. Worth the time to get into it, imo.

There’s lots of Easter eggs for those who live and breathe Marvel comics. Stuff that folks like me don’t get from just watching the MCU. Things that after reading the web appear to be hat tips to various characters from Marvel. (Heck there’s even stuff in the background of interviews online with people in charge of the show.) Watching the first few episodes definitely had me scratching my head and left me thinking the creators of this are either pure genius or have gone mad. After ep5, I seem to be leaning toward genius. Reading online about the Easter eggs and fan theories based off of the Marvel comics and parallels between them and the show, things are beginning to make some sense and it appears some fan theories are turning out to be true.
I get online after each episode to get the “fanboys” info on what some of the stuff I didn’t catch in the episode means. Unless you are walking encyclopedia of all the Wanda and Vision story arcs in the comics, you are going to miss stuff.
I will say without spoiling anything, that there’s thoughts that this is leading to some stuff for future movies and is setting the stage sort of how Agents of SHIELD led directly into Age of Ultron, (oddly around the time frame Baron von Strücker had been testing on Wanda and Pietro with the mind stone).
You should watch it. I find myself eager for the next episode after watching each weeks installment. I am very intrigued with this and how it’s developing.

Ehhh. I like it when it actually gets to the story but some of the tv show stuff is dumb. It is Disney’s take on House of M but it’s very watered down. They seriously need someone to play Magneto ASAP.

I got one big connection that I was hoping for last night. But I just feel the payoff is going to be empty or stupid or potentially both.

I absolutely love the cameo last night and it opens up future storylines. All I know is the MCU is about to get complicated.

Thats the problem. Unless they have someone in place to play those roles ( just not spoiling it yet) then I think complicated plot lines are about to happen.

There is one character that is coming that I will be interested to see how they fit him into MCU universe and that is Blade. This is not a spoiler, as anybody could checked up on MCU and see Blade is coming.

I suspect they've had plans on plans and have been in place for a while now.

I still think that the future of the MCU is going to be based on how well the X-men and Spider-Man go. I think the whole point of Wandavison and the craziness that they are talking about coming in the third MCU Spider-Man movie is pretty much trying to find a future past Tony Stark and Endgame. I think if either project fails then they probably go the DC route of having a loosely connected universe from now on. Which honestly might not be a bad thing at this point.

They did a masterful job of interweaving the first 20 something films. Will be hard to repeat that.

Thanos is a good central threat and they were mostly going with properties that weren’t going to make people mad.

The X-Men is a totally different beast than what they have been dealing with. And most Thanos level threats that Marvel has are Xmen and Fantastic 4 villains.
