WCWS - Let's Roll BAMA

I've been back and forth on it myself, and I'm also leaning towards preferring UCLA at this point. The thing about Texas Tech is that they're hard to kill. Ole Miss was up 8 on them in the regional with 2 outs and 2 strikes in the bottom of the 7th, and Tech somehow came back and won. That's not a team I want to face in this situation. I lean towards we'll probably be fine either way since we only need 1, but I think I'd rather face UCLA.
Well, Texas Tech is up 6-3 over UCLA, heading into the bottom of the 6th. UCLA's pitcher, (I guess she's their only one), has not been sharp today, and has issued several walks, and given up a few dingers. UCLA chased Canady in the 3rd after she hit two batters in a row. The Tech reliever has shut UCLA down so far. So, barring some explosion by the UCLA bats, we're going to face Texas Tech.

The 6th inning is over, and it's still 6-3 Tech. By the way, the pitcher that is for Tech right now played at UCLA last year. She's part of 15 major college transfers Tech brought in this season. I think Tech has the biggest softball NIL budget in the world.

Bottom of the 7th, and UCLA has now had a base hit, and 2 homeruns to tie the game at 6. Tech had brought Canady back in after the first dinger, and she gave up the tying 2 run dinger. Now Tech has brought the other pitcher back in. She's gets the last out, but we're going to extra innings in Oklahoma City. Maybe we'll see UCLA again yet.

I don't understand it, but I don't like the flex rule in college softball. One of their pitchers started the game in LF, then came in to pitch, then was replaced, came back in again, was replaced again, then replaced by Canaday again. Canaday and this pitcher have both been in and out of the circle 3 times each. Crazy.

Tech is up 7-6 now in the top of the 9th. They have the bases loaded with 1 out.

Now 2 outs. Can UCLA get out of this only giving up 1 run. No, they can't. They get a ground ball to end it, but it's bobbled and the run scores. They get another player out trying to score to end the inning. Tech now leads 8-6 going to the bottom of the 9th.

Hopefully lots of extra innings with UCLA somehow coming out on top.
Man, I would love that. UCLA's only pitcher has thrown over 180 pitches tonight. Her arm has to be hanging by now.

Barring another miracle, we're facing Tech.

Also, what would have been UCLA's #2 pitcher is now playing for Tech. I bet UCLA wishes they still had her.

It's kinda garbage watching this dude just rotate his pitchers out like this. It should not be allowed.
It's called the flex rule or something like that. That one pitcher, Terry, started the game in LF, spent three different turns in the circle, and ended the game back in LF. The rule is a joke. Canady ended the game with her 4th turn in the circle.
