We get the late game again

I'm surprised they didn't do a 1-2 start for the first game and then a 5-6 start time since it's New Years. Game over by 9-10 so people can still attend celebrations.

What moron or morons decided that scheduling these games on New Years Eve was a good idea?

Thank the Rose Bowl, Pac 12/Big Ten, and the CFP. The Rose Bowl/Big Ten/Pac 12 refused to move its game from its traditional slot at 3 EST on New Year's Day. Since it was not in the semi-final rotation this year, they had to move the semis to New Years Eve in order to accommodate the Rose Bowl/Big Ten/Pac 12. Once again, they hold up the rest of the college football world for their "tradition."

I haven't rang in the New Year in about ten years. Hard for me to stay up for a game that goes past 11 pm.

I guess this New Year's Eve I'll have to opt for mixed drinks: Geritol and Red Bull.

It's only the end of the year. It's not like it's Christmas Eve or something like that where people go to Mass, caroling, etc..... I never understood the Happy New year celebration myself. RTR!

It is great when you are young there is a young hottie to kiss at midnight. when you are 40 and single, New Years is a waste of time.

Might want to update this to 7 EST. I just got an email from stubhub saying that the game time had changed to 7.
Seriously? Actually, that's better for me, if so. I think it's a bad idea to have it on New Year's Eve. I can't watch a Bama game with a bunch of people unless they are all Bama fans focused on the game. That wouldn't be the case down here at the party we usually go to. Stayin' home, watchin' the game!

Yeah a mixed drink for me is a glass of water and a shot of Propel Berry flavor..

I'm trying to find a team seating chart for the game and not having any luck. I sat on the Bama side in the Wisconsin game and want to make sure I'm on the right side for this game and not in a sea of green. Any information to help would be much appreciated. Roll Tide!

Works for me! Our kids are young..so we never go out on NYE. I will love watching the Bama game with my husband and kids. A great way to bring in the new year.

We will be watching from our home also. Good food, then a chilled glass of wine is kind of nice about then...
Unfortunately for our neighbors I have two large farm bells I will ring when we win, then again at Midnight.
(I do ring in the New Year)
