It's the same logic as California and New York raising the cost of housing with God's own list of regulations, requirements, permits, studies, studies, studies, investigations, etc., etc., then decrying the price of housing and the death of the American dream of owning your own home.

For the life of me, I don't understand how the Democrats plan to make "affordability," their campaign issue when the bluest states are also the most expensive.

Never had it there, that I remember. It was 1957...

Didn't have AC in the classrooms at Tuscaloosa High School when I graduated in 1977. Most legacy buildings on the UA campus didn't have it in the classrooms, either. The administrative offices of both THS and most UA colleges, however, did.

we got ceiling fans installed in the school my 7th grade year ('81-'82), and they installed window units in all of the classrooms a couple of years after.
