...at work are saying that ut didn't want to show Florida what they had ( Florida sure didn't care to show what they had) so that's why they didn't open it up. Well if that's the case then Anige (I guess that's how you spell it, who cares) has a future in the movies. That was some of the best faking of an interception I've ever seen  ! Hopefully tn will be the opossum of the SEC.Flame me if you want but it the taliban came over here and played the viles I'd just about pull for the tallies! :p_razz:

Everybody wants to get into the act. AgBarn fakes a championship and now the Viles are faking an interception :biggrin2: It always amazes me how the fans and commentators know what the game plan was.

Not only did UT not show a lot to Florida. They did not show a lot to anybody else. I don't believe we will see UT in Atlanta and certainly not No. 3.

UT is in trouble this weekend. They may say that they were concealing their O and what not but lets take a deeper look. They let a mid-tier C-USA team hang around the entire game. The point could be argued that UAB lost this game not that UT won it. After all down the stretch UAB controlled their faith and had the opportunities. The next dilemma that has come to light is the QB controversy. The back up had better numbers but a deep divide in the fan base and more importantly on the team may arise on who should start. UF has the weapons to ruin UT's season. Granted Leak is in a new offense UF has more playmakers (3 WR with 4.3 speed Leak-mobile qb strong arm better o-line and a form of a running game) and like UAB can effectively throw timing routes. Don't expect UF to turn the ball over in key situations. This all adds up to a 10 point victory for the gators and brings in the era of URBAN warfare.

I'm finally getting my brother and sister to come down for an Alabama game. We are all Alabama Alumni and they haven't been back to Tuscaloosa since they graduated in the 80's.

Fulmer was outcoached. Plus, that team has serious issues--on both sides of the ball. Their offense is unimaginative, their defense looks more like an NBA team of prima donna's than an SEC unit, and they were almost beaten by a C-USA team that will likely be thrashed to bits by Southern Miss.

If UT wins more than eight gams this year, it'll either be by dumb luck or blind zebras.

Just my opinion, but I think TN will still be a strong team this year - certainly not one to overlook. It is so hard to judge teams by the first few games. The talent is there if one of the QB's will take control. Now they have a few weeks to get things corrected before we see what they have. We (FL) have plenty to work on ourselves and TN could be much improved by the time they make their way to AL. Should be an interesting year.

I agree Gator

Yes, TN looked mediocre at best. UAB is better than some think (especially that QB). But UT will be a good team by the time AL plays them. They'll probably be better by the time they go to FL. They may be over hyped, but they'll still be a good team IMO.

What I get darn sick of is people who might say "Bama stuggled with a cupcake"....etc....but then in the same breath say "UT just wasn't playing up to their potential...." or something like that. You know, maybe Bama didn't want to show everything they have until the meat of the SEC schedule. Maybe since Bama lacks depth we took out our first stringers in the fourth quarter instead of risking injury to them by running up the score on a cupcake.

I didn't get to see the game but I wasn't under the impression that Bama struggled. I assume that most teams kept things simple. Can't say that TN had a good game either, I just feel that the athletes are there and that they can be a good team despite a poor showing in the opening game.

There are always ways to put spin on different situations. AL can say that they got off to a slow start and then settled into their game (which I happen to believe) but then AU can say the same thing about the Iron Bowl last year. Some fans are proud to have played it close for a half, maybe UAB and MTSU can take something from their loses to quality opponents. My view is that if we (gators) can lose to one of the Miss. teams we have no business looking past TN even if they did have a horrible opener.
