What happened to the Houston kid in Cherokee County, who was kin to Martin Houston? I heard a great deal about him early, then he vanished on the charts.

He signed with the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks as a fullback.

Wonder why we didn't offer? Whatever the reason, there seemed to be a lack of high profile offers.

I am really surprised no one seems to know. Maybe it was his grades? Maybe he was too slow? Maybe we felt we could do better? I have been keeping up with him for two years and felt he would go major.

It's not a big mystery . It's the 4.89 forty and the 5.06 shuttle he ran in Tuscaloosa last year . Simply not fast enough to play in the SEC .
