What if Ross does like JP and grows after high school? Is height the only factor keeping him off the field? I know he was very successful at Hoover for a long time, and I know he ran the offense well, but I don't know about his arm strength. I do know he is a proven winner and a good athlete. Unfortunately, I believe his scholly would count against the team - he would need to be really good.

FWIW, I'm not sure what the love affair is all about here. I watched Hoover play a couple of games this year and was unimpressed with RW's play. There are many more QBs in the state -- not to mention the nation -- who are better QBs: more polished and more athletic with similar (or better) win/loss records.

you are exactly right, in most cases highschools that are dominant for a long period of time stay that way because of the coaches and the system they have in place. They find people that fit in that system.

No offense to Ross but I just don't think he is college football material. He was a very good high school player. He was more of a scrambler than anything and I have never seen a qb that had as much time to throw in the pocket than he did. Hoover had a terrific O-Line that helped quite a bit. When he couldn't find an open receiver he tended to hold the ball too long. I just don't see him as a college qb, even if he does get taller.
