Why is it ESPN continues to cut away from their normal coverage to cover a game that's close? I'm sorry, but if I tune in to see Alabama or any other team play, that's who I want to see play. We missed a free throw and a break away during their coverage change. I'm getting tired of seeing ESPN do this every time I watch Alabama basketball.

I wish I knew also. I could care less about Villanova and Providence. They did it last year in the Auburn game and this year they've done it twice. I understand doing it in the Northeast but let those in Alabama and Arkansas watch the game they obviuosly care more about!TideFever said:

ya know i might could understand if it was a top 5 team that was close to getting upset or two top 10 teams going down to the wire but nova/providence? you gotta be kiddin me. :eek2: :mad2:
That's exactly why something should have been said to ESPN during the Vandy game - I know we sucked against Vandy but it's still the principal. I hate it when they do break-aways b/c I am watching the game I wanted to watch!!!!!

I had to chuckle when Clougherty gave the sideline reporter the "death look" when they were trying to start the 2nd half, and she wass standing out on the court talking. I know she had nothing to do with the cutaways, but it was funny to see somebody put ESPN in their place.
TV coverage stuff
Something different but somewhat similar happened at the Music City Bowl. They interviewed the coaches on the field and getting in the way of the band. Do that on the end zone or somewhere, not on the field.TideHead said:
if they do break away, they should do what CBS does during the NCAA Tourney some. Use the split screen format so that people watching teh original coverage game won't miss anything
They do break-aways because of our viewing habits. They know that most Americans get bored and they want to keep you from surfing too much...
