There are so many better moments than my favorite memory but the 2006 Cotton Bowl is mine.Ive been a Bama fan since birth and this was my first game. The ugliest FG ever made!

So many good memories...but one always seems to come back to my mind, Alabama Tennessee 1979...Bama had the best team in the country but bumbled its way thru a 17-0 deficit. Bama took the ball late in the 2nd half and drove the ball down to end the half down 17-7, the world was shocked. Back then most games were not televised and i laid on the floor in my living room listening for John Forney describe the action on the radio. Just before the start of the half we go down to old Jerry Duncan for a locker room report. Duncan describe something that amazed him, players expecting to get a fire and brimstone from Coach Bryant were on the edge of there seats, instead Coach walks in and smiles...."Boys, we got 'em right where we want 'em" The vols never got past midfield, Bama rolls 27-17.

I remember listening to that game also. And I can believe the Coach Bryant story also because my wife asked me what the score was when it was 17-0. When I told her, she asked me what was wrong with them and I told her it was OK, that Bama was winning the game.(If I knew it, rest assured Coach Bryant knew it). She looked at me like I was crazy, and went on about whatever she was doing. I remember that ut had the ball for 6 plays in the 3rd quarter and gave up the ball on 3 of them. There was a first down fumble, a first down interception, and a 3 and out fourth down punt.

I happened to be sitting on that side of the field @ about the 25 & 20 rows up. That was probably the coldest I have ever been... The place went crazy when he danced into the endzone.

I was at that game, sitting in the endzone that Langham was running to. I've tried to tell people about it. It was almost surreal, or something. Talk about a place going totally crazy! I remember seeing Alabam seat cushions flying throught the air (from the stands) in celebration.

But I loved the Bama uniforms that day. Arms and legs covered in white.

My girlfriend (later became my wife), and a couple of good friends were there that day. That was an awesome day. Your right, it was extremely cold. I remember running into many gator fans that morning at a K-mart in homewood. I asked what they were doing. One man said that when they left gainsville, it was 78 degrees (they were in shorts and shortsleeves), They were trying to buy some warm clothing for the game. :D

So many, but one is personal. When Jelks broke the long TD run against Auburn I had a broken hip and crushed leg, from knee to hip. They did not put a cast on it because of he swelling, just pins and screws and a plate.

I had healed to the point that I could hobble around on crutches, but I was not to put any weight on the leg for a couple more weeks.

Suddenly, there goes Jelks and I was up jumping up and down in the living room and screaming "Go, Go, Go." After the TD I realized what I was doing and it scared the heck out of me. Fortunately, it turned out all right.

I have several too but the one that stands out in my mind is the take-away (Teague from Thomas). I remember watching the game at home on the edge of my seat thinking at any moment that Miami was going to get a spark that would send them into a scoring frenzy. (if you are too young to remember, they could score in a minutes time and often did). When Torretta connected with Thomas I just collapsed thinking here it goes, the giant awakens. Then outta nowhere, comes Teague like superman or something. I couldn't believe my eyes. He actually looked like he was in some unhuman gear racing down the field not only catching Thomas but taking the ball from him as to say oh no you don't and reversing direction to run up the field. From that point on I didn't worry. I knew these guys were there to take care of business and everything was going to be alright. I'll never forget that moment as long as I live.

Amen to that I think I was 14 at the time and I remeber sitting at my buddies house and he was a Miami Fan and watching that take away at his house was priceless.. I think that would be the most to me..

Well, I sat here and read every single post and there is NO way to single out just one favorite or most memorable. Here are my favorites and why:

The Kick - I left home with my best friend (still is 20+ years later) to go hang out. By the way, she's a Bama fan. We wouldn't have been friends if she wasn't. :) The game was over in our minds, but I just couldn't stand it and turned the radio on about 30 seconds before the kick. We had no idea the game was even still going on and we went crazy!!

Langham's Int for TD in 1992 - Many may not realize this was the 1st EVER SEC Championship. I told my husband we HAD to go because it was the 1st. We got tickets easily. They were only $60 each. What a difference 16 years makes. Anyway, for those who have already mentioned how COLD it was that night, we saw snow flurries. There had been so much buzz about SHANE MATTHEWS and Spurrier's offense. We knew it was going to be an unreal game, but when Antonio made the catch I honestly believe that is the LOUDEST I've ever heard the BAMA NATION!! This was so very special, because without it there may not have been a 1992 NC.

The Steal - As many have stated, Teague was SUPER HUMAN that night. He WALKED Thomas down and I was thinking the same as another poster, it was like he said "Oh no you're not!!!!" I've played that video over and over to my boys to show them, this is one reason Mom is SO BAMA CRAZY! Of course I had to tell them what George was thinking as he took the ball away too. lol

The Catch - The most AWESOME catch ever made as far as I'm concerned. This is a bitter sweet favorite though because of the talent we will never have had the privilege to witness. Tyrone will forever be in my prayers.

The day Nick Saban arrived in Ttown - Enough said!!

2007 A-Day Game - Bama fans are like no others! We checked the kids and one of their friends out of school on Friday and headed out. We had a feeling this was going to be a SPECIAL DAY so we got to the gate @ 9:30. It was well worth the wait. Welcoming CNS like that can never be matched by all the wannabes. :)

Taking care of the Blackout - We've lived in GA 11 years now so this win was priceless!! Dawg fans have ragged us pretty bad, but not a word since the laughout. They are hoping to meet up with the Tide in the Dome. It would be really nice to beat them twice in the same year. That would almost make up for the heartbreaker last year. :eek2:

Sorry this was so long, but again just too many......

ROLL TIDE ROLL........can't wait to get back to SWEET HOME ALABAMA!!!:BigA:

My favorite Bama memory was in 1973. My dad took me to see Bama vs Virginia Tech. We beat them 77-6. Had over 600 yards rushing out of the wishbone.
It was my first game in T Town.
I was 13 at the time!!!

Yeah, I was at that game too. I sold hot dogs for my high school baseball team at that game. It was freezing cold.

My own personal favorite was the last time we beat the barn in 2001. Bama went into the kitty box unranked while the barnies were in the top 15. We laid a whoopin on them that night. Here's hoping we can do it again this year!

My favorite Bama memory has nothing to do with any game in any sport. Rather, it is one of a more personal nature.
One day back in 2000 I went to visit my mother, who was at the time residing in a nursing home and suffering from Alzheimer's. She had lost much of her recent memory, and had also lost control of many of her other natural functions. She was almost totally bedridden and had to have help with the slightest tasks. But when I approached her bed, her memory of her own days at UA remained firm. She sat up, pointed to my Bama sweatshirt and said in her clearest voice, "ROLL TIDE"!! She passed away later that year, and I will miss her forever.
There have been many great individual and team accomplishments by Crimson Tide athletes, coaches, scholars and administrators. All are to be commended and remembered for their accomplishments. But in my mind, that singular phrase uttered by a frail and dying alum of the greatest University in the world is one that will stick in my mind forever.

There's been a lot of great moments during Alabama football. Tiffin's kick against AU. Christiansen's kick against TT at the Cotton Bowl. The Catch of Prothro. And many more, but MY FAVORITE moment was when Shaun Alexander annoucned his arrival with a STATEMENT. I remember the game against LSU at Death Valley, I believe, and he ran for 290 yrs against the Tigers. What I remember most was he was a last minute change because Curtis Alexander was scratch due to an injury or something. From that game on, I knew Shaun Alexander was going to be a "great player." He was fun to watch that night.
