I am not intending to belittle any player or players, and I expect dignified responses to this question. Here's the question:

Which of Alabama's starters would start for Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, or LSU? The Tennessee game starters are listed below (from rolltide.com) for convenience. Mature responses only, please.

I ask you to be honest in your appraisal. Take off your Crimson glasses. Be honest with yourself, the other readers, and me.

Game Starters:
Alabama

LeRon, DJ, and Antoine for sure from the offense. Andre probably. Depending on what team, JPW would start as well.

From the defense you really need to look at individual players on the other team because I dont think we have any real stars on the defense, but we play well together. That being said I still think Simeon would start as would Wallace. It seems that there should be more, but nobody immediately comes to mind.

On offense I think Caldwell and DJ could definitely start for AU and UT. I don't know that much about UF or LSU, but I think they would definitely be in the hunt with those teams as well. LeRon would be the starter on all of 'em.

On defense I think Dukes, Bino, and Juwan would start for a couple of those teams.

Considering the Barn's trouble right now with the center position, AC would start NO problem. Andre would probably have a shot at LT but is not a sure thing. Leron would also be a lock, as would DJ and Keith Brown (he is the other starter in reality). On the D, Jeremy Clark would also have a good shot considering thier thin depth, and Juwan would have a chance at LB since they have also struggled. So to sum it up 7 out of 22 would be in pretty good shape to be starting for AU. Hmm, wonder why people aren't expecting us to win the game?

Offense ......

McClain - NO DOUBT !
Hall - For certain .
Brown - More than likely .
A.Smith - Yes but , possibly at guard .
Caldwell - More than likely .
J.Johns - Every team but Bama & the barn .

Defense ......

Simpson - More than likely .
Gilberry - Likely .
Castille - Probably but , might be at safety .
Robinson - ? - Probably . Hasn't seemed to be at his best this year and has dropped 3-5 interceptions to go along with 5-6 interference penalties .

JOMO .

RTR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:BigA:

That's 10 . Not a whole bunch out of 22 .

Well maybe that's one of the reasons we're not undefeated. :BigA:

Depends on the team...

However, judging by this year's performance, on offense DJ Hall and LeRon would start for all 4 of them.

On defense, Ramzee and Gilberry would start for all.

I came very close to putting Simeon in there too but then remembered how badly he got burned in the Florida game.

I'm not going to assume that I know exactly how Salty Dog meant the question, but this might be a good way to word it:

If the coaches at Auburn, Florida, LSU and Tennessee were told that they could take any starter from the Alabama team and place that player in a starting position on their team in place of their current starter, which Alabama players would be selected?

Is that close, Salty Dog?

None! Our players have too much class to play for any of the above mentioned teams.
