Question: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL? Just Henry and A'Shawn So Far

I never really looked at the "College Advisory Committee" before. This page show remarkable accuracy for their grading. I was also unaware the only 5 players per school could be graded, with some exceptions. It isn't stated what those exceptions are, but I assume a school with a talent rich roster could ask for a waiver depending on the development of its underclassmen.
Anyway, it's an interesting read if you have never looked into it.

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

I just looked at the list of those that have announced they plan on entering the draft early and 92 names are on the list. 1/3 or more will not get drafted. Another bunch will be last day picks with a 50/50 shot at best making a team. I feel bad that some kids are getting REALLY BAD advice. At least with the NBA kids they can go play in Europe and make a decent living...

Hope the Eddie Jackson rumor is just that, a rumor... I just don't see him as a top 2 round pick.

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

The CAC page I linked didn't state a date, I thought I had read that Friday was the day. Maybe that's the first day they can formally announce???

According to NFL.com 1/18 is the deadline to enter.

I agree with you. Plus, running backs are just not taking like they use to be. The value for a quality back just isn't there.
Am I the only one who thinks Henry's draft grade will be low? Not a knock, nor a hope that he comes back, but I think he will have his height and slow starts held against him.

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

I think EJ would be making a mistake by not coming back. I don't see him going in the first two rounds.

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

Our guys just got their grades today, so the ones who are probably mid to low second rounders on down are probably taking more time to decide. The anticipation is killing me!!

Yup. It's easy to pick the ones we know will be gone. It's the tweeners that are hard to figure.

They had their grades before they left for AZ. Tim Williams spilled the beans saying he had his grade last week. They just said they were not going to discuss in depth/focus on it until after the game.

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

That's great news about Tim Williams, he will be a sacking machine off the edge! Roll Tide Tim!

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

Man, as Bama fans, that'd be nearly a dream come true for us. But I'm mentally preparing for OJ Howard and at least one of T Williams/R Anderson/E Jackson/R Foster go. I'd rather fear the worst and be pleasantly surprised than the opposite ...
And the departures after the JR year is a big reason we have great recruiting classes. I would love to have Foster back another year though.

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

I agree on Eddie, he needs another year at safety in my view.

Re: Which Juniors will leave early for the NFL?

How do they choose who gets a grade? Aren't schools limited to sending in for 4 underclass man grades?
