Who are Alabama's rivals?

Before I get into the post UT and Aubie are without question our rivals.

However, in Louisiana LSU fans seem to think we are their rival. I for one never looked at LSU as a rival. Are there anymore teams like this, maybe they consider us a rival and we don't or vice versa?

most bama fans consider LSU a rival. Simply because they are usually in contention for the West and there has been some great games between the two teams. Also Mississippi St is considered a rival if for nothing more than recruiting; and because the two schools are closer than any other two SEC schools.

to me personally our two main rivals are the barn and the vols in that order...those other games do not come up to the level of these two...until the 70's the vols were our biggest rival, but that changed (I think after the punt Bama, punt game)...

When it comes to our rivals I'd rather beat the viles than the barn. That's just my opinion of course. Maybe it's because I grew up in North Alabama where they is more of a Tennessee influence than in other parts of the state and you have to see more ugly orange. Also, it seems like some of the younger fans tend to consider UT a more hated rivarly than auburn. Of course, it's all probably just a matter of perspective. I'd like to see us beat 'em both on a consistent basis.

Auburn and Tennessee. Not too long ago, I would have included Penn state.

Auburn and UT. That's really about it, you may can include LSU and Miss. St at times, but they are not nearly as big as AU and UT.

I miss the days

of playing Penn State.......those were some instant classics for sure..and i used to hate penn state as much as auburn and tennessee back then, but i cannot stand Fulmer or the obnoxious barners so they are equally as hated in my eyes......

Having lived in Mobile, I noticed that LSU fans saw us as a rival as do many other SEC teams. But I would never say that Bama sees them as a "rival." I see Notre DAME more as a rival than LSU, Ole Miss, MSU, etc.

The viles and the barners, but everyone we play circles the date they play us. In spite of our receent down period, other teams still consider a win over the TIDE a huge win.

Me, too. Can't wait to see 'em back on our schedule in the next few years! Good job, Coach Moore, in getting that done! It's nice to see them at 4-0 this year and on the upswing along with us, too!

Frankly most schools consider Bama to be

their major rival. Sure, beating the Aub's is nice for them and even at MSU beating UF was big, but in my opinion, in the past beating us made their year...even when we were winning 4 games!

I want to beat LSU very badly but they aren't a deep rival for me, other then living near them every year.

If I had to rank our top rivals they would be:

1. Tennessee
2. Auburn
3. LSU
4. Georgia
5. Florida

Rivals

UT and AU are what I would call our historical rivals.

LSU, Ole Miss and Miss St have always been big games, important games, and now are even more important because they are in the West Div.

But we have had Big Time short lived Rivalries, whether it was home and home, like Penn St, or challenging for dominance like FL in the early-mid 90's, Miami in the early 90's Nebraska and Oklahoma in the 70's as well as USC and Notre Dame.

We will always have UT to hate and the barn to fight for bragging rights. But I am ready to get back to challenging for Dominance once more.

One things for sure, there's no doubt who the barners consider to be their rival. Just check out the number of goober posters that have something about BAMA in their signatures. They're too stupid to realize that they are showing their obsession with BAMA by doing that.
